Nice one Lachlan
If you get a chance post up the power curve, rolling roads normally show a turbo as being laggier than it is on the road but the 'wee hybrid' even looks good under these conditions !

Really smooth and a strong curve so I am well impressed by the Hybrid. With Harvey's pipes (also had fitted) the spool up is even quicker than standard. Getting full boost at about 2900RPM.

Here ya go Andy. This charts compares the original full decat exhaust, ECUTEK with standard TD04, intercooler, injectors to the same but with the TD04 Hybrid, ported and wrapped OE headers (harvey's), STi Intercooler and Sti Pink Injectors.
Sorry I didn't have a scanner to use so it is just a photo. You'll notice how the power and torque curve's are smoother and come in earlier. You'll also notice that the previous BHP struggled from it's peak of 5500 whereas the new one flattens out most the way to readlline. Torque stays nicely flat and peaks at about 5500 and where the previous graph shows peaked at about 3300 and then just kept falling.
I personally think that these results would not be possible without the new Turbo - the other one couldn't give enough puff.
Thanks for doing such a good job with it Andy - just what I was after.

Locky, what model and year do you have and is it on the std box ? (ie will the box cope with the power). What was your bhp previously ?
Sounds like the Td04 Hybrid is better than the Vf35 if 330bhp is what you are after !!

It's a 2003 WRX wagon.
Yep still got the standard box - not planning on race starts or massive gearchanges. Had 2 previous WRX's and know that the boxes dont last long if you drive them like you stole them. Prior to the TD04h, sti intercooler & injectors and the headers, it was 282Bhp 282lbs/ft.
I guess the only real way to know is if you put a VF35 on my car and see what it does. Cars do vary so much that it is really hard to say. Andy will probably give you are better idea. I am certainly happy with it's performance.
Although.... I have a problem. Andy hopefully you can help. I am now noticing that when I put the throttle to say 90% down, in 4th or 5th gear, the boost fluctuates from 1.0-1.5 bar quite badly (you can feel it in the car and hear it in the engine). It will just keep doing it until you take your foot off. Probably doing a full cycle of fluctation per second. However, if I put it flat to the floor, it spikes a little up to around 1.5 but then calms to 1.4 nicely, as I would expect. It only has a problem when the throttle is 90% down? Strange. I am concerned about what it is doing to the engine.
I also have a CEL however I had that coming on before I got the mods done. I was meaning for PE to have a look with their select monitor to find out what it was. Was still driving ok and I don't think it was doing the boost fluctuation, although maybe it is more noticable now. They didn't say anything about it when it was on the rolling road so I assumed it was fixed/not a problem. However it came on again yesterday.
I think it is a mapping issue - Anyone have any ideas? I have an ECUTEK. Can't see how it can be mechanical as it would do it at 100% down.

Sorry - just made the graph accessible (in theory).
Try it now and let me know it works?
Otherwise try this - should work.

Best speak to PE as they will know what they mapped in there, it's just a minor tweek.

Ok cool - thanks Andy. I have read a couple of other threads since and came to the conclusion that it was a map tweak needed. Like you said, I'll chat to PE.
Do you think they will charge me or is it 'warranty' from the remap on Thurs? Personally I think it should be under 'warranty'.
