i average 17mpg which is around 200 to just below the bottom segment.

Does anybody else find that it costs £15 to fill up halfway and £30 to fill fomr half to top? Mine does

ps. has anyone noticed that if they put in sequentially less fuel at each fill-up it makes the fuel economy look better

My daily drive was approx 30 miles a day - mainly b roads....Only nailed it once due to a young ish lad wanting to play in a ford st - (it did not last more than 30 seconds tho

Thats approx 19-20 MPG -

STI's are well bad on fuel. My old WRX would do roughly 23 mpg. The STI PPP does 17mpg driven gently

Sounds pretty good to me, certainly doesn't look like an indication of anything unusual. Unfortunately it is a bad case of "they all do that sir." When you drive it hard it can be almost frightening to watch the needle fall, though to be honest you are unlikely to have the time to watch the fuel gauge.
