It probably does a better job than all the over priced shampoo available today!

Did you leather it off afterwards Pete?

I think it's just advice actually .......... the poster, talking about racing, is clearly in his teens.

It's up to the 'oldies' to NOT glamourise racing on the public highway .... thats for the kiddies with Novas/Corsas and Saxos!!

As search is down, I will ask the question.

Which fuel do you use?

Sainsburys Super ............... 84p a Litre

A bit like the Oil I choose ......

It does the job PEFECTLY and is a value for money option

Not for me to be scared crapless into expensive Oils and expensive Fuels ...

I have heard tell that some will ONLY use Optimax at 95p

More money than sense I say!!

That should kick it off nicely

Adam,

If you are a Hybrid, do you come from Wales and was your mums name dolly?

On a serious note, people outside of the scooby world think we all believe we are invulnerable. Nearly everyone here has tuned up an RS or GTI in their youth to make it both faster and better handing than the 'best of the available production cars' of the time. (In most cases doing the spanner work themselves).

What is surprising - after 10 years! is that the Scooby, in its standard, unmodified and 'safe tune' form is still the recognised yardstick people want to be compared against. But then 5.3seconds 0 to 60 in such a BIG 'out of the box' car is still as impressive today, and the reason why they are so popular and common on the roads today.

Sorry matey!

Hybrid refers to my engine mate...

i do, do alot of spanner work myself (which must seem unusual since most scooby owners are cheqebook mechanics ) nice to see you have all let off steam on my account, you keyboard warriors have really humbled me.

Admittedly i'm still in my 'youth' (19) and would love to reach the maturity of some of you guys just to get through the day .....

scoobies are awesome cars i've never queried that, good luck to all of ya with them

I just knew you were younger than 20 ............. Arrrrrrrrrr, it's so sweet

I suppose you dream of Impreza's then? While we actually drive them?

Good luck to you also

Bit of metal, Bit of board .... screw it together and you've got a FORD!!

EVOs are OK, I suppose, but you cant fit the dog in the boot .....

You are just a kiddie ... we would rather you wait until you are grown-up before you buy a mans car like the Impreza

maybe i'm not being clear i'd never want an impreza.

Same story for you and a big power cossie i'd of thought assuming you have a late model scooby, what would you do without your traction control.

I have no traction control and had Cossies in the 1980's (way before you were born!)

If you never dreamed of an Impreza I wonder what you are doing on a Subaru Forum? Is it the Justy you desire then?

I suppose the Justy is about where you should be at the moment? Being a baby and such ....

Hi Adam and welcome to the forum. If you don't want an Impreza why did you come here with such a childish question? If you favour an Evo they have a forum as do. Cosworths. Perhaps as you fancy one of then you could post your question there. I'm sure you'll get a more positive response speaking with people who share your enthusiasm for the car as oposed to posting on a site you have no interest in. Good luck with whatever marque you choose.
