What annoys me is when people post on here saying 'i got attacked and the cops did nothing.' Have you not a tongue in your head, can you not complain? Sergeants and Inspectors are being bashed on the head daily to get results and complaints made are investigated thoroughly and any action needed to be taken is.

In any other service industry I take my business elsewhere, in this case that simply isn't possible unless vigilante action is taken, which is not my way.
It's not your fault there is all the extra paperwork and red tape, and I'm sure everyone on here realises that not all officers are disinterested. But, when you are always on the receiving end of crime, and no one is ever prosecuted for it then it's understandable when people become disillusioned.
To date no one I personally know, that has been a victim of crime, has ever had the offender prosecuted. Off the top of my head: bulglary, mugging, 3 theft, loads of criminal damage, and a couple of weeks back I had a bottle held to my throat which was then used to hit me over the back of the head requiring a few stitches (lunchtime on a Saturday, walking home with my shopping) don't know what crime this comes under (somewhere between assault and attempted murder I guess). I've got a better solving rate than the police have.
