My father in law always had to hide his at job interviews, he was in the Army but in civvie street he found out that they make a statement that he didn't want to make ........................ he HATES his with a vengence!
My grandad had them, he was in the merchant Navy, he made me PROMISE when I was about 11 years old that I would NEVER have them done .... he HATED them with a vengence!

being as i was bought up to respect my ELDERS, i will this once save you the ordeal of reading back through... Yes, i DO have tatts, yes i was in the Forces, No i dont really think they make me look hard, ( my ugly face does that)!!there ARE times , yes, that i wish i hadnt had them done , just as much as there are times i wish i hadnt slept with that ugly bird that night just to 'take one for the team'....they are a PERSONAL CHOICE .. they WERE MY CHOICE... i respect YOUR FREEDOM OF CHOICE , NOT to have them, so shut up and live and let live ya daft old duffer......

I love the way that numerous posts in a short space don't make up for the newbie effect

I'm sorry you have them and it gives off an image that you would rather they didn't ................. I understand about the Forces and the way it's kind of pushed on you - the Officers tend to be able to resist the urge a bit better for some reason?
