I have never been one for thrashing cars the minute I see any kind of road, and I do find the Impreza rather cruisey compared to my last car an E30 M3 (which you had to rev the nuts off just to get going) I am enjoying the 'ride on a wave of torque' feeling you get from these cars...

Sorry you had to sell the Scoob m8 but when a car plants the doubt in your mind you have to get rid.
But just remember some folks on here don't believe a Scoob can go wrong so you're not allowed to list the faults you did without them taking it as a personal insult.
I got rid of my last Scoob when I was told the list of things that were wrong would cost me 2k to fix. My other 2 Scoobs had been fine, so it's just your luck. Hope the Vauxhall works out for you.

Must admit though, we ran two rental Zafiras upto 50K with zero faults, and they were severely abused
Although one had a bit dicky clutch, but still worked ok - just grabbed and juddered a little. (our fault for overheating it when towing an overweight twin axle trailer - which in fairness, the last mpv, a Touran did the same within a few thousand miles ). And a piece of trim was broken in the boot, when it was pressed into use as a builders van (not really designed to carry a pallet of bricks, so our fault again )

If you under the illusion that you won't get any problems with a Vauxhall you maybe a bit disappointed.
I am not going to say for a second that Subaru's don't go wrong, most of us on here know they do.
By the way, i actually think the current Zafira GSI is a great car, and with the same engine as the Astra GSI/VRX there is a lot more power available if you wanted it. (Regal do a kit for the VRX Astra which takes it to 340bhp, sure the kids will like that!!!)

Zafira VXR, class car, the whole VXR range is good. 2 scoobies 3 vauxhalls all from new never a problem with any vauxhall, mulitude with crap scoobies. And as for any comment on, oh it must have been a dodgy one. Bollocks is all i can say because there seems to have been quite a few dodgy ones. Really should not expect an unbiased view towards subapoo on here though, Everyone knows they are the world fastest, best built, best looking, most reliable and generally non chavvy motor around!!
I'm gald i got out of it all when i did, too many ********* with them now acting like some road warrior, spoiling the image, driving like **** in there 7 year old car cos that's all they could afford.

as for reliability those that say subaru are sound and vauxhall are unreliable are maybe just lucky or come to a conclusion without any facts
im not saying everyone should change, just that my scooby was totally unreliable and its pi***** me off

My problems over 8 years:
wrx my93 syncro in second needed changing
sti5typeR my98 nothing
p1 my 01 new battery
22b nothing
Very unreliable cars these Imprezas
None had any Cocklinks, remaps etc and all were decatted within a few days of ownership. They were driven everyday of the week and not sat in a garage.
