I understand that completely, i have a summer car myself which is not quick or practical but i love it (not telling what it is )

If you're happy with the 95 model why sell at all?

I know, I know ................... my wife keeps telling me, my mates keep telling me, everyone keeps telling me .....

It's just that urge to get 'something newer' ... I doubt it will be much better for my uses really - just it will be almost new and - oh, I don't know

It's true that my MKI is increasing in value, I looked at 30 MX5's before I bought the one I have and that was a few years ago now .... I would need to look at probably 100? to get to mine again? So it is certainly a rare find.

You have a MGB? MGF? Spitfire? Stag?

You won't guess, i won't let you

Keep it, it seems a bit excessive to buy a nearly new one just for something new. If you can afford it, on the other hand, fill your boots. I would in the same situation

I'm not going to live forever ............ PUT THOSE FLAGS AWAY!!!!!!

I was keeping the money for when house prices fall - to buy some more, but - I guess £10k won't dent it too much??

Is a 1995 MX5 really going to increase in price?

I can understand a premium at the beginning of the summer, but even my classic 380 SL maintained it's price, rather than increased (apart from in April / May )

The reason being that, each year, there are fewer REALLY good ones about.

Lots of the MX5s are used as normal everyday cars, so - the ones which are pampered and never taken out in the wet get rarer.

The everyday cars drop in value as they get more tired and tatty - the best ones don't.

Depends what the buyer wants, a runaround or a 'special'

David

I have a few people who are interested - I will announce the sale if I find another.

I'm looking for something like a Gleneagles, Merlot or Montana .... or a late Sport.
