I have applied for a job with the council today, better money, and better prospects, so we shall see

I'm the one doing all the work in my team while everyone else bu66ers off for long lunches comes back and sits around chatting
dont know what you mean mate

things haven't changed much then since good old TF days

wondered how long it would be before you posted on this thread!!

remember, in IT, the less you do, the less you are expected to do.
and if you don't do anything about it, no-one will recognise your worth!!

i often found that smaller companies can offer more flexibility and appreciation, as well as getting involved in other projects, too.

bigger companies are very departmentalised, and the small minded majority of these departmental leaders, hide behind their limited knowledge.

go forth into the big wide world, until you are either, happy, payed a fortune, learning some new stuff, or appreciated for what you do (or all of these things) else, work for yourself.

good luck
