The thought of the bonnet popping up was the scariest bit of a Summer on German Autobahns, at speeds up to a GPS confirmed 156mph. It never came loose however.

PS Bonnet pins are legal in the UK. Mickyjeff's quite correct. Thousands of road legal competition cars, classics, Kits etc have them. All pass MOTs/Scrutineering/whatever.
