I/we need pictures and cost inications, and where to get these bits.
In the hill climbs I'm the only one running an integrated wastegate, everyone else is on external.
Being a bit lazy on Snet:
Just where are you now on spec/parts?
Graham

Hi Graham,
List of parts needed to complete the project.
Sx FPR (enroute)
GT30R turbo from Mark at lateral circa £1K
up pipe and down pipe for rotated GT30R circa £800 from RCMS ( i need the RCMS one as my tubular manifold is the three bolt flange type.
External Wastegate Tial 40mm circa £400 (Lateral)
Induction with filter circa £150.(Lateral)
Fitting kit for turbo inc Gaskets, braided oil and water lines £300 ish RCMS
Apexi AVCR boost controller £300
Hope that helps.

Wow, a tidy sum there. One of the resons I ask is the 20g I have and my thoughts to 2.2/2.3/2.5, so that list gives me something to think about!
A £400 waste gate....
Thanks for the info. Looking forward to the end results!

Been doing a little bit of research today with regard to the Turbo selection.
I have stumbled across a problem.
I will be running an Apexi Power FC ECU which requires the MAF sensor.
Can I use a MAF sensor with th GT30R considering the pipe work is way bigger than that of the MAF housing? I believe I have to keep the MAF sensor in its original housing due to the fact that its air flow calculations are based on the diameter of the MAF sensor Housing?
If thats the case then I am just going to go with a bog standard turbo for the time being just to get the car running again and then fork out for the turbo and a motec M800 ecu.

Andy uses the Power FC together with the MAF sim developed by Andy, John Banks and Andrew Car IIRC.
Daz, you will have no problems running the PFC, dont fork out for the M800, its not worth it.
Steven
Owner of and M800 retailing at the best part of £2500+

I run PFC with a mafsim and GT30R.
Works very well.
I think from memory AndyF is doing your mapping, so he should be able to sort you out with a mafsim etc..
It takes a MAP input and converts it to a MAF output which is fed into the PFC on the maf wiring pin. There is then a very nice bit of software AndrewC has developed which allows setup and tweaking of the MAF output and compensation for throttle application as MAP reacts slowler than MAF so the PFC accelleration compensations are not enough on their own.
It is a very nice bit of kit.

Cheers simon. Any indication of price for all this ??

Sorry if you took that the wrong way. However before Andy mapped my last Scoob it was mapped by alledgedly one of the UK's best Mappers. When Andy mapped the same car with the same spec it pissed all over the previous Mappers effort.
Also if you were nearer it would save me the £200 quid that I would have to pay for Andy's travel and accomodation costs. So it would make sense to have someone do me a start up/running in map. As I would be unable to take the car up to Scotland in the first place.
So I am sure you'll understand the method behind my madness and realise why I'm sticking with a mapper that I know.

Like I said I was trying to help regarding where to go from here not offer to map it for you.. you have said already Andy is mapping it and poaching customers is not my style.

Try to get some others interested in a 'Doncaster Area' mapping day(s) and get Andy down to spread the cost.
I've done this twice now and it has worked well.(West Midlands)
Andy will liase with the others to pull it all together on the day.

Speaking of mapping I am considering just sticking the old turbo and injectors on and running it in.
My question is.
Will it have to be remapped before hand. The reason I ask is that the only major differences are:
1 The pistons are 1mm bigger than the original ones.
2 Fueling is now done by parrallel rails with an SX FPR.
Could I start the car and run it in on Andys last map??
bearing in mind the car will not be running boost over the factory wastegate 0.5 bar and it wont be going over 4000rpm.
I dont think it would need a map until its run in.
would someone clarify this for me.
Cheers

I replaced my 2.0 with a 2.5 bottom end and ran it for a month (500 miles)on Andy's 2.0 map. I didn't need to run it in (2nd hand short engine) but ran it to wastegate pressure and under 4k rpm until Andy was available. I did monitor knock and AFR constantly though!

Daz,
If you set the fuel pressure to roughly the same as stock and you haven't changed the injectors then you should be OK for a running in map.
If your O2 sensor is OK and the PowerFC is setup to run closed loop then it should be fine.
