Scoobs over 100,000 miles - what problems have you had?

I've run a MY94 turbo between 68 & 150k, both rear bearings failed at c.100k (& one again shortly after ....as a result of not using a "Speedi Sleeve" which sits over the hub & ensures the bearing mounts on a true surface). The box was changed at 145k as it was getting noisy.Otherwise all other costs have been service items & discretionary toys. The bearings were a bit pricey from memory at £400ish.
I now run another car as the daily driver & keep the Impreza as a toy, it's probably worth £3k........but that makes even better value !
Stop being alarmist & accept it may cost you a couple of quid occasionally, but not as much a new car deprecation & main dealer warranty maintaining servicing would...........keep it & enjoy it !
