how about a mild tandoori chicken
You will need
Chicken fillets diced
Tomato Puree (1 tin or half of a long tube)
Lemon Juice
2 cloves of garlic
1 tbs of cumin
1 tbs hot chilli powder
some fenguck
Black Pepper
Chicken Stock cube
Fine Rice Noodles
Natural Yogurt
Fresh Coriander.
Pre heat the oven to about 200 degrees centigrade and have a baking tray lined with foil ready.
Firstly empty the tomato puree into a mixing bowl. Add 1 tbs of lemon juice, the cumin, and the chilli powder.
Crush the garlic cloves and add this to the mix as well.
Stir well and you will get a lovely paste.
Dice the chicken and season with pepper. Put the diced chicken in the bowl with the mixture that you have just made and toss the chicken so that you get a good coating of the mixture on the chicken.
(if you have any little cuts on your hands you will know at this stage)
Once the chicken is fully coated, transfer it to the baking tray and place in the oven for about 25 to 30 mins (you can tell when it is cooked)
Boil a pan of water and add the chicken stock cube to it.
At about 20 mins of the chicken cooking, add the fine rice noodles to the boiling chicken stock water. (these only take 3 mins to cook)
Whilst the rice noodles are cooking, take 1 or 2 desert spoons (the big uns) of the natural yogurt, and place in a small mixing bowl (or glass jug like me).
Add 1 tbsp of the chicken stock and stir thoroughly until it is well mixed.
Coarsly chop the corriander and add it to the yoghurt/stock mix and give a quick stir.
By the stage the noodles will be cooked and the chicken will have approx 2 mins to go.
Drain the noodles and serve onto the plates. You can then either add the chicken on top of the noodles and then the sauce mix over the chicken or you can cover the noodles with the sauce and then add the chicken or you can add the chicken on top of the noodles with the sauce on the side (side sauce) its your preference and equally as good
Enjoy the meal, enjoy the ****.
Alternitavely you can substitute the cumin powder for cajun powder (I prefer this) and it is as tasty if not more so.

Andy, looks like you're cooking for 3 now, how about 5? Our little monster isn't sleeping well either so they can keep each other company

I'm sure whatever you cook will be appreciated by Heather!
For some strange reason, Caroline doesn't count takeaways as cooking either?
Lot's of ideas on www.bbc.co.uk/food although strangely the website has been running today!
Thanks Mungo, but I think number 10 is going to happen whether I like it or not!

Thanks to the scoobynet collective, for starters I did Rannoch's Prawns recipe and for main I did Andy Tang's Honey duck - simplicity of recipe was the decider!
The chocolate covered strawberries was the winner, although when preparing water got into the bowl and fecked the chocolate on 2 occaisions - lots of swearing but microwave to the rescue
The evening went well
And our daughter didn't wake up at 4am either! Result all round

If it helps, I've done the strawberries before, but still managed to **** up a whole bar of white chocolate! It went from bar, to melted, to fecked in the space of 2 minutes!! If that happens, the water is too hot!
Last night was the first time I did the duck recipe, and I kept expecting it to screw up as it was too simple! Luckily it worked out!
Amelia didn't wake up until 6.15 this morning! you can't count on anything these days!!
