ECDL, well worth the time. After being made redundant recently I've managed to get a new job as a Training and Development Officer, and the company was quite interested in the fact that I had ECDL (so they said 
), although I had previously been a tester, marker and invigilator for the British Computer Society (which I could only have done on the strength of having the ECDL anyway). Now working on Advanced ECDL.

Consider yourself lucky they can do all the claims in one place now.
When I had to sign on when I was 17, there were 3 offices you had to go to : the housing benefits one, the job centre, and the DSS - some wag had arranged them around the outside of town in a triangle with 2 miles between each.
You'd go to one, get a form, fill it in and have to take it to the next office and give it to them, they'd give you another form to fill in and take to the third office, and they'd stamp it and you had to go back to the first office etc... etc....
Did work out in the space of one day I must have walked about 16 miles going back and forth - I reckon it was some sort of endurance test to see how badly you wanted £28 a week off them.

Rip - if he is drop shipping it'll make no difference if we all see his listings as HE is the one who has the contacts and account with the supplier, so nobody else would be able to just copy his idea - just when someone comes on and says 'you too can make £10K a month on Ebay for 10 minutes work' instantly has the smell of the farmyard about it.

Spoon, I have no interest in muscling in etc... I make enough money doing what I do without looking for new jobs, so really arent interested in what you sell, just that you claim to be making £120,000 a year from drop shipping for suppliers, which unless you are drop shipping Aston Martins seems unlikely to me.
Of course, with your high turnover on Ebay, you will be at least a gold or above Powerseller, in which case you will be able to post the last 4 numbers of the PS support phone number here, which will prove your case, wont it ?

I was laid off December 2004 and the Dec 16th 2005. I am now claiming job seekers allowance. I took out insurance against being laid off about 18 months ago. The first time i was off work for 6 weeks before i found a new job, i was getting £56 a week and my insurance at £250 a week. I have been unemployed now for 7 weeks this time i have been offered 2 jobs but both need me to renew my industrial gas quals. This cost £1500 which i am paying but the benefit office are making it as hard as possible for me to attend the course its not like there paying for it (the course) i just want the £56 benefits. Once completed (5 day course) i can go straight back to work. I paid a hefty premium to cover me but i now get £306 a week. The most worrying thing i have seen is people like myself who are willing to pay for there own courses and want to work really are messed about by the benefit office. I could quite happily sit on my **** getting my £306 a week but i want to work and am willing to pay to do it.

seriously i may be able to engineer it to make you more marketable, I've just graduated with a management degree started last summer doing some purchasing covering some birds maternity leave she never came back and now I've been made permanent as a a trainee manangement accountant company paying for my CIMA courses the lot
it could just be right place right time if you get your foot in the door cos i'm thinking your not 17 any more and college courses take ages for very little employability increase

CV currently not on pc, ill try and get one put on.
Ive received a letter from Job Seekers saying i havnt received any money because i havnt provided them with the information they required. I sent them everything i had! Letter of dismissal, wage slips, bank details etc! Pathetic!

Ive just come out of the local centre!!
you now have to make an appointment just to get a form filled in, why cant they just have blanks ready then you can fill them in??
feel a bit miffed, i didnt have any of the badges of honour that all the rest of them have.
Mind you i need loads to be up with them
obligatory baseball cap

Have you thaught about being a pipe line inspector. There is a massive shortage of inspectors at the moment and it can pay very well. As a welder you will knowmost of what you need to know already and will only have to take a 1 week training course to get qualified. I know the owner of an agency who specializes in this area and they are always desperate for inspectors. It has reached a point now where they part finance the training for new inspectors so all you will pay for is the exams you take. It fits your experience and you should earn 800 a week before tax.

As soon as you secure an interview follow this simple guide and the job is yours:
1. Apply black boot polish to all visible skin
2. Apply ginger wig to head, wear fake ***** and dress middle aged
3. Borrow and use wheel chair
4. Dribble a little
5. Mention you were an solicitor specializing in employee rights before the 'accident'

I have an interview tomorrow, SES, Drawing Controller:
Responsibilities:
Drawing and document control for Design Department.
To have a responsibility to take care of health and safety of others.
Duties:
To manage all aspects of drawing and document control.
To operate the MS Outlook E-mail accounts for design and drawings.
To process all e-mails in line with the QA electronic filing procedure.
To use Autodesk Volo View to plot drawings.
To liase with the Print Room and distribute drawings.
To use the company's in-house data base (drawing register) to record all incoming/outgoing project issues.
To operate the Oce import and index package to electronically distribute drawings.
To distribute files via the e-mail/in-house computing/internet systems.
To interface where applicable with the Project web site for drawing distribution.
Doesnt sound brilliant but, its a start/job!

just think logically, and apply the differing points to things you did in your role,
dont tell porkys though you will get burnt!!
