Good effort I say. I reckon most of you lot actually ARE jealous - not of the car, but because it reminds you of a time when you were young enough to chuck money and time at your motor just because you could, and you didn't feel the need to justify anything to anyone, especially not the wife. Do you really think whoever is selling it (and at a guess it's a fella in his early 20's) is actually 'bothered' what a load of old fogies on Scoobynet think? LOL
Not that I like it personally, but I've seen a lot worse, believe me. I've been a modder myself although I was always more performance focussed rather than on the actual looks of the car. Nowadays I'd never drive or mod anything so lairy, but there was a time probably ten years ago when I would have done.
And if you disagree you're either lying or you were born as old and decrepid. :-) The comment at the end about a 'ball point figure' is quite funny though

i would rather be shot than dive that thing where anyone would see me!

OK you are right - IF you have a really small turbo and you fit an enormous FMIC, the boost pressure might drop across the FMIC causing some boost pressure reduction, probably not 0.4 bar though
Of course if you have a really big turbo - you have one as it can produce 300bhp at 0.6bar - then the boost pressure drop would be one or two KPa.
Could you let us know the spec and source of your TD045 turbo and who converted it to be roller bearing? I am sure there will be market for them
Good luck with the sale bud - oh - you aren't the same guy who was selling a rather bizarrely modified yellow S202 are you?

Here's a thing. I am old, I am not deranged and I don't have to justify how much I spend on anything. And I love cars.
This car would still not be my choice and I am not in the slightest bit jealous.
I am concerned that the advert is inconsistent and does not seem as knowledgeable as I would expect for the work that has gone in to it...which I also read is the concern of a number of other posters.
Now if you have to justify what you spend to your wife and feel that you are too old to modify your car now then that is all about you - not necessarily everyone else

Like you, I can see that the advert is inconsistent, but the thing is IMHO it doesn't matter. It's aimed at a buyer's market that want to see a huge list of mods that have been done to the car so they think they're getting value for money. Genuine proven performance isn't so much of an issue, just the impression of it. If it looks fast parked up or round the town, then it's mission accomplished. That is not the kind of car where you'd be surprised to see a bit of bull**** and nonsense, on either the seller or the buyer's part.
We could spend all day pulling the wording of the ad apart, but at the end of the day I doubt there's anyone on here who would think of buying it anyway. And if they did, they'd never admit it on Scoobynet anyway for fear of having their head bitten off because all the mods weren't from the approved Scoobynet book of law.
Bottom line: If people want to buy a car like that, it's their business. If anyone's worried that Scoobs are cheap enough now to end up modded tastelessly like the one in question, you know what to do - start saving up for an Aston. And lastly, to whoever it was, there's no excuse for calling someone a **** mother****er or whatever it was on a public forum.
IMHO
