For anyones information...
Buying from a car dealer:
If the car is described as something and it transpires that it is not exactly as described then, provided you have not had a professional independent inspection, you stand to be able to claim against the dealer.
When it is as major as the car being the wrong model then you stand a very good chance at getting a result. If you're quibbling about whether a mat is the original item then you might as well not bother.
Your local trading standards will be more than helpful.
Buying privately:
Don't hold out any hope!

It is missing a red top engine for the year.
