Ste mate muscle does not turn into fat, the more muscle you build the more calories you will burn - seriously mate. pushing heavy weights increases your natural testosterone as well.
keep your cardio and your weights seperate.
your quite as stocky bloke and you'd gain muscle in no time.
i've lost 2.5 stone and put an inch on my arms

sound like your running before you can walk to me carl, try 3 reps, the first one lightish and complete the 12 or 15 that you do, then up the weight and do about 10, then put it to a weight you can only manage about 5/6. that way you build up more gradually and its better for you rather than killing yourself on the heavier weights and trying to do the full reps. if you can do 3x12 reps then the weight is to light

i did 2 in preston, was good fun, got to the semi's and the quarters so didnt do to bad. my brother was funny though as he got knocked clean out once, we were all pi55ing ourselves
only did it for the fitness and self defence though really, its good to learn some discapline, boxing is like that as well. my lad will be doing something like this himself to teach him a bit of discipline

I do two light sets for warming up at 50 then two sets at 80 then one at 100 and my final set at 120
i do first 2 at 10-12 then 8-10 then final two at 4-6

sorry mate but that makes no sense,
bench press
1x15 reps of 80
1x10 reps of 100
1x6 reps of 120
thats what you should be able to do, if you ask me your definatly lifting to much though, dont take it the wrong way but lifting that sort of weight is only going to injure you, what are you hoping out of it? strongest man or something. you,ve only just got back into it and your really going for it mate, becareful

I did a few in total, wasn't forced to do it but instructor was a bit dissapointed if we didn't. as he was an ex world champion and felt he wanted to prove his club had the best fighters, except i wasn't

thats a big jump from 50kg to 120kg mate, thats why i said it makes no sense, you seem to be burning yourself out whilst you are trying to warm up.
