sky is brilliant, more than happy. If I was keeping the SKY tv then I would keep the sky broadband, but I cant have it without the tv so moving to BE. If I could keep the BB though without the sky tv then I would stop with them

if thats the case I might switch as I could be saving £8 a month the other question would be to go for the 816mb package or the 8mb as I only get about 5mb DL now so paying the extra 5 quid would be pointless apart from its unlimited but 40 gig amonth is ample for me

if 40gb is enough (about 40 films and normal browsing) then pay the fiver its worth it, if you post your router stats up though i bet you can tweak it a bit more ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

just look at router stats, usually 192.168.1.254
figures to look for are attenuation and snr (both downstream)
My attenuation was 37
so made a dummy connection at the bt cable end and it improved. Then got some cat 5e cable and rewired it (better quality cable means less interference)
Attenuation is now 34 and snr raised (higher snr is better, lower attenuation is better) so one tweak later with the dmt tool, allowed nr 16mb sync. On BE tomorrow I should get over 16mb![smug](images/smilies/smug.gif)

what router is it? speedtouch 585v6?
If so use the dmt tool, enable advanced options then select the modemoptions tab .
Uncheck default SNR and move the slider down about half to where it is now. Do an apply and resync and then save settings. Should notice a healthy improvement.. Also if you want to make a new phone extension, I have some cat 5e cable you can have
![Thumb](images/smilies/thumb.gif)
You can then keep adjusting the snr down and aply resync etc and see if it is stable.
