aahhh never said I wasnt going to get a job, I have always worked since leaving school, just that now with the redundancy I will get and the cheaper mortgae, I can maybe look to a totally different area to what I am doing now. I have always wanted to do something in I.T. but to retrain I will probably only get a job initially for about 20k and previously I wouldnt have been able to survive on that, now it would be hard but probably possible for a few years, at which stage I would then have progressed in my new career

the electrician thing is still an option, but now I could do the fast track intense course (which gives qualifications and the ability to sign of work etc 17th edition blah blah blah) then get a job with a local electrician (obviously do foreigners myself) to gain experience that way, then setup on my own in a few years

I looked at it as well btw (well plumbing as well) but it is more costly than the electricians. The end of the day I can do decent plumbing (not gas) and I can do electrics (just not legally)

how can it be? you need to be corgi to work legally, like you need 17th edition to work legally. youve got to remember that building sites are as good as stopped at the moment, that means all the tradesman are out there getting work the way you want to get it, they have a lot more experiance than you so take that into account mate

you could have the scalextrics going over the train track and have a proper massive setup

I remember as a kid, my aunty took me to one of her friends who were minted (were asians and owned a garage) they had a games room with a full size snooker table, and I think they pressed something and this big board came down with a scalextric on it.

NOT THAT I KNOW OF(oops caps off) you will be suprised mate, they cant afford to **** off, a mate of mine who is a plasterer said people are pricing jobs an only making buttons on them with the hope of getting more work. its really sill out there, got to say though mate, in my opinion we have as good as hit bottom now.
have you noticed how the press has backed right off, they have been investigated into how much impact they have had on the credit crunch, i have said they have been making things worse for ages, people are reading the sh1te that they print and are genuinly panicking an then not spending, its a bloody big downward spiral, if you believe the **** they print then we would all be living in tents now. thats why i read the star, they just print funny stories about woman with 3 ****

we just need to be careful that the greedy bankers dont do it to us again, did you watch the programme on it all with that fella from dragons den? it was shocking how stupid the banks and there so called experts were behaving. people should be going to prison for some of the things that have happened, the fella who sold me my comp the other day was telling me he had 70k on cc's, i felt like punching hin, he will just declare himself bankrupt soon an we will foot the bill.
surely when you get a card and then max it out, then max another an another an another someones alarm bells should start ringing, its so wrong what has been allowed to happen, personally i think gb has done ok to get us out of it, what will be the defining point for me though is what laws he brings in to stop it happening again
