yours is likely a euro 4 in which case blanking the egr will throw up the management light. a clean up of the egr and inlet work wonders. its surprising how much crap is in the inlet.

in my st i get around 50mpg. Be careful if you remove the egr when putting it back on again as the threads where it bolts up can easily be stripped

will fit easy. when I bought mine last year boxed up (bigger than the bike itself) it fit easy. Cant wait to buy fishing gear again so I can go in a car that will hold the tackle comfortably

have you thought about a static or do you just want to go wherever?
My sister has a static on a haven site near pwellhi (think thats how you spell it), she has the option of renting it out for a guaranteed number of days but doesnt bother

Ye jay but can't be arsed with that yet as you need to make sure you get a good site or your fooked. If we find a decent site now then we can still do the same with a tourer and leave it on site for around half the fees of a static. I've got to go to the sh1thole they call Manchester tomorrow to sort out my car tax and then me and my lad are off to Chorley to look at a brand new swift van. Got to sort out a tow bar for the wife's car as well

Yeah was nice just too many choices

Just noticed my polish is wrong that I got wanted intensive polish and got sodding final polish 2 they have changed the bottle damn I hope polished bliss will swap it
looking forward to trying this iron x should be fun wonder how much iron fallout the car has on it

yesterday all door shuts/boor area cleaned with APC so looks nice now going to iron x then clay then touch up a few chips

Might have to do a little wet sand on 1 door as couple of deep scratches then its a matter of getting some time to give it a damn good polish loads of swirls marks etc should come up a treat

invested in some heavier cut pads ford paint should be the same as scooby paint all being well

Still waiting for my steam cleaner to arrive that should be fun

I know 1 thing the wheels are a swine to clean 1 wheel is caked in crap at the back even my megs wheel brightener is taking its time to shift it cant go too harsh with dilution as it will eat the finish of the alloy

Also ordered some of this read good things about it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3505209453...84.m1423.l2649

also got a new set of mats coming as the ones in it are them stupid universal ones that dont actually fit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1208681012...84.m1423.l2649

Oh dear, been on too many ford forums and fallen for the hype!! It wont clean your injectors, the pressure the fuel is under the cleaner wont be in the system long enough. It may clean your fuel tank though (and possibly allow any muck from there to be sucked up to your filter)

Talking of fuel filters, you can get the genuine ford bosch filters on ebay from a place in manchester (cant remember the company name but its owned by the pendragon group). Price on ebay is something like £14 which is half price from a dealers. Filters available in motor factors allegedly dont have the same filtering properties as the genuine items

crikey no posts

anyway been busy with stage after stage with the car i just cant get any time to just get it all done in one go

its been washed etc but managed to use tardis to de tar it then got round to using some iron x before i clay it now im impressed it stinks like hell but just goes to show what your paint holds

its hard to see on the paintwork but you should see tiny purple dots where the clear liquid is desolving the iron detected more so on the wheels which were actually cleaned several time with megs wheel brigtner you can see the purple runs better on them

i hope it doesnt stain my drive lol

then finally im up to the claying even after all the pre stages the paint still holds bits of crap this is just the roof

now to be fair the rest of the car wasnt too bad as the tardis tar remover did a good job

next up is touching up the stone chips then a good polish with the porta cable

Car was overheating on the weay to work sunday. got greenflag out as i thought it was something major and i was in work, they topped it up, checked it before i left and still losing water plus pump making horrible noise.

Got it towed home and then towed to the garage ive used over the water, he changed the top pipe as it had a hole in it, suspected the noise was all the water going on the belt, rang me today, bloody head gasket has gone. gutted.

he will do it for £900 but will use all the upgraded gaskets, wouldn't mind the warranty ran out 10 days ago, called them and they said they would do it at cost but I just don't think I can trust them, only plus point is he will do my clutch whilst the engine is out at a knock down 200 instead of 550 as he said the engine will be out so really easy.

Checked all the paperwork I have for the car and the HG was also done 20k ago, looks like they used the standard gasket though which is the issue.

I'm totally gutted, couldn't of happened at a worse time as I'm spent up, got to pay loads off this month but it looks like I'll be doing some overtime anyway to pay for this.

Car showed no signs at all of a head gasket issue, nothing, think I may save up and get the map tweaked to a custom one as well so it doesn't over-boost, also I believe you can get a duel map which is switch-able so you can drive in like an economy mode which will come in handy as it will be doing more miles once the caravan arrives

the economy mode you won't use it, I had dual with my evo hardly got touched so I changed it to the same as the "normal" map but with added flames

I remember when I had my scoob, I suffered a rad loss due to cracks in the end plates, top hose, and water pump. Luckily I was due a timing change so I swapped the pump when I did the belt. If the gaskets are being done I would change the pump anyway as the timing belt has got to be removed to remove the heads so may as well replace it (they weren't too dear years ago, I got mine from graham goode)

£200 for the clutch is that supplied and fitted? When I had an uprated excedy fitted, think labour was around £130 and I supplied the clutch and lightened flywheel. Place Iused though rally a focus with scoob running gear so the knew exactly what to do.

I am getting a replacement imv for mine this friday, hopefully sort out my running issues. Think I have a split pipe as well running up to the egr so will upgrade to a silicon job
