you still have the road noise, ok it aint much but as Mr Keegan used to point out you should stop look and listen so if i run them over its their fault haha, got the wifes new car yesterday and thats just as quiet, already seeing the mpg averaging high 20's so well happy.
Off the lakes today for the weekend so have a nice time lads.

well finally had the ***** to start wetsanding the mondeo rear bumper as its heavely marked and just polishing it was taking forever
first did with 2000 W/D then 3000 W/D then hammered it with 10 cut polish to remove sanding marks and i must say its coming along nicely

Well what an eventful day thats been, got a call from the nursery as our Max had fell and split his lip, the wife panicked as they said they needed to call an ambulance so i rushed there as well, he has spil half of his bottom lip of and its only just hanging on. Blood everywhere but not a lot of tears, he never hardly cries, anyway ambulance arrived and took him the local hospital, a plastic surgeon doctor came to see him but they are reluctant to operate on kids under 5 so eventually we got transferred to Alder Hey, again to late to operate so theyre keeping him in and will operate tomorrow, the wife has stayed there with him.
He tripped over a cushion in the nursery straight into a window ledge, total accident, the hospital said the quick reactions of cold compresses by the nursery nurses really helped, i felt sorry for her actually as she kept on crying as she thought it was really bad and she had never seen one so bad in 20 odd years of working in nursery care.
Hes a proper little soldier though and hardly cried or moaned all day, hadnt eaten since 11.30 this am so he was starving by the time they eventually let him eat at 2100. Will have his surgery tomorrow and they expect it to heal great

He's ok thanks mate. At worst he'll have a v small scar on his lip
On another note I'm thinking of sellin the scoob. Gutted in one way as I love it but I just don't use it. The wife hates the noise an ride so I may sell an get a v70 diesel or st diesel. I've scratched the itch with the scoob but I love it as well an its cost a lot to get running sweet. Got to be worth 8-9k though with the simple fact of the engine bein sorted

Or I may just say **** it an get an m3. Thing is though a similar priced m3 is 10 years old so would I be buying problems? Seen a few with full history and everything. Thing that surprises me though is the torque figures are really low. Even though its got more or less the same bhp as mine the torque is only 260 odd

im hoping mine will go down a fair bit, ive had it a good while now so experiance counts, plus my van is due the same time and i transferred my ncb to my car so my van had no ncb, both vehicles cost me over 2k last year, hoping to reduce this to less than 2k this year, if my scoob insurance shot up though id just sell it

there is a pb going for sale near me from a dealer who has cars on his drive!
Porsche a good option, may struggle with the kids in the back though!
When I can afford to get rid of my **** heap, I will be looking at bmw 330D

its not at all is it mate, i was really surprised. well it just means i keep hold of my scoob for a good few years and save my pennies, for a good one im looking at 20 ish k so the more i can save the better, similar running costs with fuel to my current car, as for servicing we have a specialist not far from me so id use them. in the meantime ill do some mods to mine to keep me happy, mainly suspension

my old boss had the turbo when they first came out.996 model, the other boss drove it and he described it as like a jet ski in a paddling pool best description ive ever heard.
anyway ill see how things go and pan out over the next few years an go from there, if everyhting carries on as it has been then i may have one quicker

I went to the 'dent man' befo get a price on gettin a dint out of my door. The one that happned within a week of me havin it. Anyway he said do I mind if he has a quick go. I said no. He then got it out. Well as good as he could without doing a big mad job an putting heat on it. Well I reckon if you didn't know about it you wouldn't see it. nah, its a common problem they go where the pipe goes into the backbox. Funny thing is I was fixing a small hole near the last hanger, and only when I started the car after that and noticed it was still blowing that I realised the back box wasnt connected
still, it now allows me to get a ss item

Reason for it catching was the heated washer jet was shorting internally kept blowing the fuse (same fuse for the rad fan) so I doubled capacity to see what was causing it to blow.
Going to get some c max jets (still heated) just over £3 each from henry, they have a mist type spray and are supposed to be better. Few guys on stoc have them

cant afford not to, would not get much for it in its current state despite being rare white. Touch wood the engine itself is sound so cant be too much to replace now!
