No luck Ciaran. I didn't want all the spoilers/skirts and extra attention (and larger insurance premiums) the Type R gets. Of all the classic Imprezas the V4 STi RA ticks more boxes for me than any other.

nelboy, it controls the centre diff lock.

Stunning, must be quite rare being a RA in Sti4 form.

No doubt it will end up looking even better going by your old project!

How does it compare to the 300Bhp in the other impreza, as the Sti's are 275ish standard?

Have fun!

Lol Ian, we've had the luke-warm 300bhp UK so yeah, this one can be the Hotpoint Fridge.

STiver3, it's one of only two i've seen for sale in the past 6 months. I would've loved a Ver 5/6 non-limited edition RA but they seem to be even rarer. Haven't had much of a chance to get used to driving it but it certainly felt quick enough on the drive home before the crap weather set in. Main differences between this and the UK being the gearing and standard handling. Just can't wait to get home to clock up some more miles in it, roll on the 15th!

Nice to see you back Carl

The Fridge V1 has been pampered ,and at the momentin for a front respray

Sold to James s on here and he has already bought Full decat , induction , FMIC (HKS) , VK24 blower and is currently looking out for injectors , fuel pump and BIG ECU , so the v1 is back on track for the 300bhp figure again , like the old days then lol !!!

Carl:

Just found this thread.

I was on a hill climb with Martin 2 weeks ago with his new RA, i think he misses the car (yours) already!
Look forward to the new Projects Thread.

Hi Andy, that car's had more owners than i've had hot dinners since i sold it. Slaaaaaag.

Graham, i'm (still) really happy with the car and Martin was a pleasure to deal with. I have a project in mind but it's finding the time inbetween sorting out the house/garage/Cavalier right now.
