I don't think B&Q will go **** up just yet. They have a big presence in China, & they're expanding in Asia just like Tescos.

I wasn't suggesting they were going **** up, but their UK profits took a major slide last year

As others have said, it's their home delivery service that's at fault and this combined with their business model which relies on a turnover in excess of £1.5billion means that the business is not operating soundly at present. However, as one of my better customers I wish them well and I'd be very surprised if they are not around in a few years time albeit in much better shape.

I have to agree with the delivery gripes - I've bought two bathroom s from them recently - all in all very pleased with the product - fitted them and decided that the glass fronted units needed the optional glass shelves - ordered from their website - in stock - delivery 6 weeks! - phoned them up next day to say I only wanted two small glass shelves - about the size of A4 paper - couldn't they post them? - NO - had to be delivered through the home delivery service - first available slot for my area was 6 weeks! - MAD, mad system

Not necessarily, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt as they are making it how they are told to.

As has been said, plenty of good people may lose their jobs as well - they can't help it if the business plan is rubbish.
