Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
Well applying this to Subaru plight, why should it be a cult icon. One persons cult is anothers odd lot who are slightly nerdy and go about wearing funny jackets and drive a lot of blue motas

Indeed they can't and whilst there are some good examples about, increasingly there is some rubbish on the road driven by complete muppets and as they become readily available, I wouldn't want to be associated with them. As for the whole happy clapper routine - not my scene.

What's all this drivel about ? I have an 04 JDM V-limited and love it, the wife laughs at my big kid grin everytime I drive it and the fact that I can't help myself on roundabouts (When Safe). As Petter proved this weekend, the scooby can still compete although he might have been quicker on BF Goodrich!
I would like to see Subaru produce a shorter wheelbase car / hatchback with the AWD and Sti performance.
PS the DCCD is useful in the snow! Which we have had plenty of in Aberdeenshire. Wee Hee

Flatcap, Chill man, you're taking life to seriously. Enjoy the fact that you can afford a scooby and pay for the petrol. There are Chav's in all walks so it's natural that in our scooby world we will meet some. In the end should it be a burberry wearing chav or a twead jacket / driving gloves wearing flatcapdriver it doesn't matter it's meant to be fun.

The Impreza Turbo, as the flagship model in the lineup, is woefully inadequate & the interior is just as dated.

I think the biggest problem with most manufacturerers is that they don't take enough time to find out what existing owners want from a new car they just tend to copy other manufacturers designs instead. When was the last time subaru contacted you to ask about what they should build as a replacement???

the 280bhp statement is also incorrect and has been ammended to 180bhp.
I too was looking at them as a viable replacement, maybe still is, but would require an amount of tuning to hit the 280bhp/ton Im presently riding
