It didn't look like that for very long: driver Mikael Sundstrom put that car end over end in a BIG shunt later on in the event.

And on it's next outing (National Breakdown) slammed the same car head on into a tree whilst leading.

The car competed in the remaining rounds of the '86 British Open though, and still survives. Last time I saw it was in Coventry's motor museum.

Ok, it doesn't have gold alloys. Looking at those pics, it does however have the largest ironing board I have ever seen!

Think there must be more than 2 in the Uk..A friend of mine has a B plate road going version of the T16.Its currently in bits in his garage,and has been for years now,engine blown(pistons and oil pump) and unable to get bits...

He bought it from brand new,and he reckons there is only a handful road versions left in the country.I could be wrong but i think he said that his was the 1st sold in the UK?....bet they all say that tho.
