I hope they'll also be informing their insurers of their mods!!

who said i wasnt willing to spend the money on the car
i'm 23 and have spent 10k on my cars so far which isnt too bad and thats without going big power gains because i have cleaned and replaced parts of the car
i have never had a car break down because i have taken care of them and they havent been the newest cars
celica (88) - supra turbo mk3 (92) - 200sx (90)

You seem to want to do the sensible things, so fair play t'ya.
Just get a lot of newbies coming on here wanting lots of bhp for little money.
Was aimed at them i think.

Nice to see a fellow Aberdonian on the site
For reference I have a '93 WRX and am in the process of spending more than I should on it:
HKS Headers + Wrapping 425
H&S Up-pipe 90
550 Injectors + phase 1 kit 400
Exhaust - Turbo back 470
Fuel Pump 100
Fuelab Regulator 200
Apexi PFC & Commander 450
Apexi Power Intake 100
4 Pots 200
Apexi AVC-R 270
HKS FMIC 450
Braided Hoses 65
Standard Discs 35
Mintex Pads 80
Gauges (oil temp/press + AFR) 210
Gauge pod 65
Knocklink 150
Fitting above + porting etc 600
Mapping 300
Sundries 300
Total £4960
Some of these parts are used and to buy everything new would have been £6500 - £7000. Should all be up and running in about 8 weeks
forgot to add that I am hoping that this spec will see 320 bhp/310 ft lb

AS MoleyWRX says, we get a fair amount of people on here that get older import cars, don't even know about the fuel issue, then expect 280bhp for a tenner. Invariably the engine goes bang before very long!
For you to get to 280bhp, I'd anticipate you spending: at least £500 on a decent exhaust, about £700 on an apexi Power FC ECU and mapping, an intercooler upgrade (2nd hand Sti V one maybe £100) a decent panel filter £40. Uprated intercooler hoses (£50....I think) That's the minimum, but depending on the car's milage/condition you may also need: a new uprated fuel pump £100, new injectors (price dependent on which ones you go) a new turbo, if you're old one is past its best (maybe £350 second hand). You may also need a new uprated clutch, particularly since you're after more power. £350 for an Exedy organic or similar then £200 for fitting.........
Oh, You'll definately want to upgrade the brakes- I believe 93 WRxs have two pots, which are dog doo! Budget about £400 to upgrade to the 4pots off later scoobies and then £140 for good pads £1200 minimum if you want APs.
Anyone care to tot that up for me?

PS see above for the things I missed, especially the Knocklink and other guages!!!

more lol
Seriously, if you want any work done on your scooby around the Aberdeen area, then give WUZ a shout.
Now for that plug and for attaching a bhp developments sticker to the **** of my car, I would expect it to be less

Next mods will be wheels, suspension and brakes - not necessarily in that order!
