Its a shame the Krauts tried Russia in the winter really. If they had been a bit more patient, it would of lasted a bit longer. Maybe then Hitler would have finished what he started.

I think you lot need to look closely at yourselves before condeming all travellers.
Yes Marcus, they do pay taxes and VAT. Actually the 4000 or so travellers contirbute £100k's to the economy! Some even do charity work these days.

Charity work? What, selling Dags and moody gold to pawn brokers?
They probably give the local BMW and Mercedes dealers a nice little earner when they go in and purchase brand new high specification cars.
When the so called nice travellers become the norm from the usual scum, then I think we'll all stop stereotyping them, but I can't see that happening. Their mobile chavs, if they travel that is, which a fair few don't, in fact, I think they are probably sub-chav, if that's possible.

I am in contact with these groups aswell in my voluntary work, they take some understanding ...... there are certainly some level headed people within their community - but, you try using their toilet (you know you are not allowed to!)
They really need a better public image and to help that they can throw out the aggressive attitude they have. A fact - the crime rate in our small town shoots up annually when the Irish Travellers pass through.

Are we not confusing genuine traveling people and the types most frequenting our countryside. These mostly consist of newage hippy types who travel in vehicles which have no mot and dont know how to care for environment they so lovingly preach about or they would bin them gas guzzlers they travel in, I dont think they have laid tar in their lifes and dont frequent council sites and the other type wot we call tinkers up here.
The last lot are your waifs and strays you find in all communities except these move about in caravans or tents. The deal in scrap, tar-well really thin tar and I dont think I have seen any laying tar on an a road near me or got any decent council or govt contracts and are out and out con men. Thinking about it with the state of our roads up here maybe it is them
