Anyway just to conclude this 'It was Wonky when I got it' debate, here is the picture as your received the straight - ESC Cup.

Regarding the handicap, that was previous to the official handicap given to me by The Hertfordshire on completion of 3 rounds of golf with a member.
And I think you will find the same would be true for Tiny.
Its a very tough thing to have official handicaps for all society members - unless you take their club membership (if they have one) or they try to use their best judgement at a fair handicap.
I cant get over that trophy, you are correct - it looks fine in that pic. From there the trophy went back into the box, onto my front seat and back to my house, there it has sat in a cupboard.
I would be happy to discuss a replacement for the trophy if you wish, let me know.

I knew Tiny's was pre official, as I scored one of his handicap cards at 3 rivers.

And you are right about trying to have a correct handicap for a scociety, I currently have 3 handicaps, my 'official' club one - which is the same as the ESC 26, plus 27 and 28 with 2 other society's
. (Playing Benton Hall Fri off 28!?)I have volenteered to have this cut, but with both societys you keep the hc you join with until you warrant a cut based on a score whilst playing that society.
So H/c's will be as April, subject to any adjustments made as a result of cards recorded, cuts for any scores over 36, and maybe increases for poor scores.
Still can't believe Tiny blobbed the last just to avoid having to wear the Sombrero!

Scores and Handicap Adjustments
Handicaps have been adjusted using the CONGU Unified Handicapping System.
Note, an adjusted score is used for H/C, max 2 over par on each hole.
Right off to Benton Hall now
