y own Passat will top 130mph, and do all the in-gear increments from 30 to 80 in 4th gear in under 5.5 seconds
A classic shape Impreza is, according to the FAQ, 5.6s from 30-70 through the gears and you are suggesting your passat is faster in just one gear and for 10mph further
I take your point that the engine is flexible but I think you got kaffuddled with your stats

well, another deciding factor now may be......
when on business miles i can claim back;
9p per mile if the car is up to 2000cc
14p per mile if 2000cc or above
they do take this to the extreme, ie, even if your car is 2 litre, but states 1999cc on your log book, you only get 9p......
so a 330d is seeming more appealing!!!!
wonder what the economy on the audi 2.5 tdi is like?????
