Cue the Antonov An-225

The Spruce goose has a bigger wingspan and 8 engines (although props)

But I think The Anotov has the world record for weight carrying capacity.

Haven't you seen the "Aviator"

I've seen the spruce goose, when it was still in LA next to the Queen Mary
Do have pics...but I didn't have a wide angle lens to fit it all in one picture

Plus a service ceiling of a few feet is somewhat dubious

Thing is, the Airbus is a commercial airliner and has actually flown at a decent height and for a decent distance. Whilst the H-4 Hercules did "fly" it didn't exactly go that far. Rather impressive aircraft nonetheless.

As for the Anatov, that thing is just insane.

Here is a rather nice size comparison picture.

I Wikipedia'd it. Seem to have changed colour. I swear it was biege when I went to see it, and it's white in the above pic (although the yellowish lighting dome might have accounted for the beige) Now it is grey :

Somebody should take it out for a blast to see if it'll fly higher than 20metres

20M, Would that be still within the realms of "Ground effect". ??

Hopefully the wingmen can answer.

Never been done before on this scale so new infrastructure needed building. Couple of good links:
