It still seems as laggy as ever It's got a TD05 on there so it suffered from lag before. It really didn't feel any laggier but I expected it to. The sound is amazing though I can't wait to go for a proper drive now.

Option 3.

simple, stock plate cut as slim as you can and no bother from the police.

Realy nice job, great to see something non Impreza on here.

I've done number plate on hinges in the past so as soon as you get a pace on it flps up allowing free air flow, only prob is that when you pass the bill it sometimes looks like you not got one!!!!

Other than that I have a 2/3 size one on mi preza wagon at the mo and haven't got pulled for it yet!!! all lettering proportional and legal typeset so spose its not too outrageous!!

I'm liking the cut down plate idea at the moment. I'll have to do some measuring

Hinges aren't really an option for me because there's no where left for the plate to swing into

Thumbs up

As already mentioned Paul, the quality of the install is fantastic and its something you can look back on (probly daily) in the knowledge that its all your own work.

Still think a reduced plate and letters wont draw attention to you. The police are too interested in these Impreza boys to notice a Nissan Bluebird or a hump roofed hearse going past in stealth mode

Fingers crossed they havent bothered me in the two years that my ones bin on.

told you lee how to do it... send over your pics i will do it for you.

not my best job by half, there were too many reflections on the bonnet and some distracting geezer in a red top standing next to the car, spoiling the shot.

dannyboy made a good point though, about changing the bottom hoses to black, but if you mesh the front in black, then that might hide them.
dunno where you would find such black hoses in that shape, cos flat4 only do them in blue IIRC.

looking good...decided on the plate yet palmer?

You got me I did have another cheeky look when I walked out of the front door this morning and smiled

I think you might be right there. THe car isn't my daily driver anyway so I think I'll go for a smaller size plate but see if I can get the lettering as close to standard size as is possible. I need to go to a shop that makes number plates and have a chat with them.

I don't mind the colour of the hoses against the bodywork to be honest. If I was to make it look stealth then I would but I'm loving the hardcore look at the moment

Looking like a smaller/cut down plate and smoothed bumper recess.

A mate of mine did that on his fiesta turbo but he sprayed it onto the mesh. Sadly it's still illegal though because it's not reflective

Looks

If you want different colour reducing hoses on the front, try contacting
http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk/

You may want to consider painting the pipework. - After a winter's salt and road grime the pipework on Lin's has started to get a bit scabby, and the cheap chrome has started to blister and peel.
I've just been etch priming and painting the pipes today

Go-on, cut the number plate support out of the centre of the bumper for maximum charge air cooling

Thanks

If I was to paint the pipework I'd paint it black

I don't think you could trim the bumper out tidily but I still keep wondering if I could make it work and what it'd look like
