Ordered a FMIC kit (280GBP scoobynet deal) last week from their website from the link
When i got it yesterday, it was a tiny parcel containing a single Autobahn88 blue rubberhose. Its so small its nearly not worth returning...
guess the rubber hose is worth 10GBP.

Got the tracking no now, so I guess the small one has taken a shortcut, and I can see the big one is in transit.

Just as a side note, it would have been handy to have some sort of installation instructions even rough ones, but it was not totally impossible to work out. Also you need to find somne kind of hose to plum in the dump valve, or at least I did as mine would not fitt on the holder provided.
I used a bit of water hose which fitted perfectly on the holder and on my Hybrid dump valve. I have no idea how someone managed to get the OEM one to fit.
Also trying to fit an APS CAK and the FMIC pipe in the wing is a nightmare, you aso need to remove the wheel liner mounting bracket, push the APS as far up as you can get it which leaves teh MAF sensor mm from the bonnet vent, so that the arch liner does not foul the wheel when you turn it. If however you do not have a APS CAK in the wing you will not have the problem.
You will also need to totally remove the metal plate from the underside of the scoop as it rubs the pipe going into the inlet manifold.
Other than the few probs we had it fits pretty good. And is an interesting challenge, but when you have your dealers facilities at your disposal with ramps, a pit, air wrenches, air cutters etc it is so much easier.

as for bumper cutting you need to cut out all the bumper that is black, right upto where the colour starts.
You will also need to cut a bit out of the bottom of the bumper but you can't see that.
the problem you will get is the blue hoses on the core do not fit 100% between the fog light brackets and the bottom lip of the bumper so a bit of tweaking is needed there, even then the bumper sticks out a fraction, but you will only notice this on teh corner where the top of the bumper connects to the wing, you will also need to cut out the 2 bumper mountings for the bottom of the bumper so it will only be held on by the 5 plastic plugs on top and the 2 on the wing
the pasanger side wheel arch liner will need trimming as the pipe is now in the way and you will also need to trim the undertray aswell.
the intercooler sticks out beneeth the bumper once it is fitted but if you have a splitter this covers the bottom of the intercooler, if it is a P1 splitter like mine you will need to cut this aswell to get it to fit.
HTH

Nope I had everything including blue pipes and clips, only part missing was a hose to connect pipe to dump valve but I am sure that is not part of the kit as everybody has different dump valves. Why did you not check the pipes and clamps b4 you stripped the car?

![Question](images/icons/icon5.gif)
Just had mine fitted, nice!
The fitter did say it was a total pain in the ****, because the kit was for a facelift (?).
Anyway, the car was in bits and it had to go on, as I was going to Donnington the next day.
Got it on and it all works well.
Only thing is, it makes a noise similar to a balloon being let down slowly, any ideas.
Cheers, Mart

Has anyone fitted this kit to a 93 import? the garage cannot get the top pipe that goes to the throttle body to fit. It fits on the body ok but then its a mile off at the other end. If you line it up at the rad end its a mile off the throttle body. Any ideas folks.

Yes im in the middle of fitting the same kit to my 94 sti and i found to get it to fit nice is to cut the end off that hooked part down and it looks like you might have to cut the pipe before the D/V outlet and use a silicon hose to get it to fit nice.

If you look I had to cut mine there and use a piece of silicone hose to join it. I know my car isn't an impreza but there is clearly no way that bit of hose is long enough to reach from the front of any ej20t to the throttle body
I too wasn't warned of this. with the silicone hose it's ok but not perfect.

Cheers mate, just mailed Scott again as the web site states it suits 92 onwards. Does not say anything about cutting pipes, not sure how i am going to clear filter, its the same as yours but in a different place.
Anyone fitted there kit to a early car yet?
