lol, I currently have both a bugeye JDM STi7 and a uk classicMY99

The classic is the better shape, but thats about it. I think the bugeye is a bit ugly (NOTE: the standard lights MUST be bined as soon as you get it) but in nearly all other regards it is a alot better car. The only other plus of the classic for me is the drive is a bit more "raw".

So another vote for the bugeye.

That is so laughable, is your list the definitive best scoobs in the UK, should we all take it as Gospel?

Get real, classics are as the name suggests classics, every scoob fan will have a place in their heart for one as they are immense cars, but a tad on the dated side.

I dont own a Scoob, but imo the classic is without doubt the best looking one, it's also far far far faster if some of my mates examples are anything to go by. My pals Bug Eye got a pasting off a bloody 182, so based on that I'm far from impressed... it's not standard either lol

The last classic i went up against in me blobeye wasnt any faster. Less weight but less power and torque but engine will generally be older so no noticable diff in performance. Oh and clios are cack.

great for you, but I think your car must be the exception to the rule if it's of equal spec. my friends classic is a turbo 2000, my other mate has the boggo WRX and it gets spanked and that with exhaust and filter mods for both. I dont think it's a one off either, as he's on his 2nd engine due to chocolate piston probs and it's no different. I guess it all depends on how they are maintained as to power that they should put out and what is actually put out in the real world.

Clio's are cack, I completely agree, so you can imagine my mates disappointment at being completely embarrassed by a girls car that costs half the amount! Still, both cars are pants really in the scheme of things, just one is overpriced, the other is cheap as chips, horses for courses... I'd not have either personally, the blob and bug eye's performance, handling and looks are laughable (and dont bother trying to convince me otherwise with endless BS stories of 4WD nonsense, it just gives you more grip, that's it... only good in the wet, but racing in the wet on public roads is retarded in any car imo). From a unbiased point of view the classic is just better, by better I mean more fun... which surely is the whole point of the Scoobs?

Tripple O'G - i'd imagine he did change out of first yes, being that it started at about 80mph on a motorway .

Greeny01's picture is the most compelling evidence for why Bugeyes are ugly. Sorry mate but that is a terrible picture!

The Jesus?
What do you drive then?

Well i'd hate to get my blob eye out and spank all your mates cars as they sound like they can neither drive or tweak....and only a filter and exhaust??
no wonder they're both slow......

at the moment a Williams 2, but i'm buying an M3

Tripple O'G, you seem to have a complex regarding your Subaru performance. I dont really care what you 'think' your car can beat (which is everything by the sounds of it ) as that's irrelevent, these are just two cars with almost identical mods and one is clearly quicker than the other... I dont think pressing a pedal is too difficult either, which is why it always makes me laugh when people get on their high horse about people's driving ability. If anything the type of people that buy Scoobs will be more keen and therefore better drivers than the average non enthusiast imo. Other than change gear fast I dont see what skill is needed for rolling start straight line comparisons... plus when I have driven Subaru's you can change gear as fast as you like, but the lag makes it pointless and just more wear on the box. so your car may as well race my mates 400bhp Saph for all the good it would prove

Not at any one point did I say my car was better than anyone elses....you mentioned it got a pasting by a 182 and mine would be off in the distance so thats that

You managed to come up with the bugeye got a pasting by a 182 and your mates classic 2000 turbo. So considering we're talking about looks, you manged to bring performance into it......
I was quite happily stating that obviously they're not all "in" as my WRX would happily give your M3 a "pasting".......If you want to get onto the "my mates cossie thing" then I can get my mates 700bhp rex?

As for rolling start speed, there is some skill involved i.e. being in the right gear and being able to drive at "high speed" even though I doubt you've experienced that in a williams 2 with about 180bhp?
NOT CONDONING RACING ON PUBLIC ROADS THOUGH......

One last thing.......You agreed renaults were cack?
and you have a renault williams 2?
hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm

Back to the looks, even though they say the bug eye's are the ugliest, I think they are going to be timeless.......plus they grow on you
