You really are a tw@t, during gulf war 2 my sqn flew more sorties in a 3 month period than the combined total of the f16 and f15's on the same base, and bearing in mind we only had 14 aircraft in theatre thats going some.

And to put into perspective how short manned we are now, 8 weeks after coming home, my mate was sent back out to basrah on convoy command, for 4 months. When he eventually got home to his wife and kids, he was a changed man for the first 6 weeks. It was a nightmare being in the same car as him as he was perpetually looking out for roadblocks, gun men etc with out realising he was even doing it.

A sobering thought is that the met police now have more people than the RAF. Still we are looking forward to another firemans strike so we can go and play with some hoses and have bricks thrown at us by some council estate chavs rather than looking forward to another trip to the sand pit.

Audilover

Is there any limit to the number of subjects you appear to have total ignorance of? Please keep your ridiculous ideas and asinine comments to yourself.

Why not head to Catterick Garrison and discuss this with a few, "so called Soldiers..."?

Audilover,

If I was you I should practice thinking about what you are going to write before you do it.

It might just save you from looking like an ignorant ********!

Listen you bell end take this in:

I have served all over the world, from N.Ireland to Kosovo and am going on my third tour of Iraq in late Autumn,if you think it was a walk in the park in any conflict you are sadly deluded, the Troops are shot, mortared and bombed at daily, not to mention having poor equipment and a shortage of troops for manpower critical tasks, let me give you one example:

1. Convoy has to go from Refinery at Basrah to Storage facility in Um Qasr.It is one straight road so no deviations can be made, you should have 3-4 vehicles out front(type of Recce screen) pheonix UAV overflights with actual Heli support available, 2-3 front vehicles(Armoured if poss) the actual Convoy intermixed with top cover manning arcs left and right, rear back up vehicles(armoured again) to provide fire support and medical assistance etc.all on secure comms with fast air support available.

REALITY---- 2 XVEHICLES AT FRONT, 2 IN MIDDLE , 1 AT REAR. NO AIR SUPPORT AND **** COMMS.

Us guys may not want to be there but i for one are proud of every one of them, and beleive it or not the country's support does make a big difference to morale.

We have been told we are doing a 7 month tour instead of 6 because the RAF can't cope with the numbers as we were meant to go to Iraq as the same time as the Afghan roulmount was due. Fact of life, thats the way it goes.

More time to save for the Sti though Lol.

Didnt you realise people where going to shoot at you before you signed up to the army. My dad has been in the army since he was 17 and he never whines about it like some of you are. All his mates never whine like you guys have. Are you sure you are men? His colleagues also dont bitch like girls about having to go to war neither. The way he sees it hes lucky that hes got all the high tech equipment and the Iraqis havent. This is a war remeber not playschool. We have lost over 100 soldiers and the Iraqis have lost over 100,000 civilians and that figure is probably even higher than that as the US government doesnt really give a **** about how many Iraqis have died. You should count yourselfs lucky that the Iraqis cant fight back. If they could mount a propper military attack I doubt the US would have rushed in like it did in the 1st place.

You knew what you signed up for and its nothing compared to the 1st and 2nd world war so stop whinging. And before you say then why dont you join the army, well I was going to, but when I applied for the RAF I was 16 and so wasnt quite yet old enough. I then got into plumbing, make a decent wage, and now havent got much desire to sign up anymore. Im still thinking about joining the reserves though.

just a quick one...i hope youre not one of the many soldiers that hold the RAF responsible for the breakdown of the basra airbridge...?!

its not as if we choose to do it with 30 year old aircraft that are on their last legs with no spares...

Stop waffling you civvy plonker.
"My dad has been in the army since he was 17 and never whines about it like some of you are" Well bully for you.Your junior G-man badge is in the post
"The way he sees it hes lucky hes got all the high tech equipment and the iraqis havent"Yeah thats the way my mate saw it when a relatively low tech shaped charge came through the side of his wagon .Your old man obviously doesnt get out on the ground much.
"We should count ourselves lucky that the iraqis cant fight back" those thousands of dead coalition troops must have just all died from natural causes then,eh?
"its nothing compared to the 1st and 2nd world war" and youve gleaned this from experience of NEARLY joining the RAF...?Bullets and bombs make just as big a mess as they did back during the war
"Im still thinking about joining the reserves though" Why?
Sorry son, when youve dodged more lead and shaped charges than Audey Murphy and can still laugh about it then i might listen to you on your soapbox but until then im just gonna keep laughing at your uneducated comments, and all the other clueless morons in this country .

P.S With a chip on your shoulder that big i doubt youd have ever fitted in a regular unit.

I take it you didn't bother with my suggestion to spout some of your vitriol around Catterick Garrison? Unaware of your location, I guess if that's too far north, you could try Aldershot. I'm sure many there would love to give you their opinion on your asinine comments...

Ever heard of a edit button? Looks like davyboy and castrol are fans. They seem to enjoy following me around ever since I proofed them wrong with hard cold facts and not emotions and opinions.

Unless you only care for English people and noone else then I can see why you dont like my comments.

Proofed??? Dear oh dear...

As for the hard, cold facts; who would believe anything you say? You constantly get facts wrong. Remember Toyota owning Kia, then it was Daihatsu...? In reality it's neither of course.

They seem to enjoy following me around
That can't be true, or we'd post on just about every thread in the Forum - as you have. 550+ posts in 6 weeks! Wow! Not got much of a life have you?

Read my post! You really are stupid!

You're the one that said Kia was owned by Toyota, then you changed to Daihatsu when it was pointed out you were wrong.

I'm the one that said:

In reality it's neither of course.
Quite remarkable...

Proofed was a typo??? Some typo. I've just hit the "F" on my keyboard and it didn't add an extra "O" as well. Did you not mean, proved...?

I think you need to do a bit more proofing of your messages before you post.

By now, you should have an idea of what people think of you. Why not start and make logical posts instead of jumping into threads and making nonsensical comments.
