It certainly is a plod mobile, seen trhe flashy things when it was parked by Baytrack Volvo it has blue flashers at the top and reds at the bottom of rear screen. It is a FQ400 and was a mighty smug looking copper driving it. Saw it 3 separate occasions yesterday the last time was when I was in traffic behind him at Leckwith. Just dont go racing if you see it in your rear view

It'll be dead easy to spot though :
1. The driver will have a beard.
2. It will be the only Evo in the world still with the factory exhaust on it.
Cant wait to see how many kids in Max'd up Novas and Corsas try and have a go at it though

Apparently this evo has just had the FQ400 badge put on it lads.. APPARENTLY.. As discussed on the MLR... Thought it was strange to have an evo 9 fq400 too espcially with a bog standard exhaust..

Weird that the police would put an FQ400 badge on if it isnt ? they usually debadge cars when they get them ( on marked cars at least ) maybe its meant to be a deterrent to people hoping to outrun them ?
Not a bad job though, spend all day storming around in that and be able to give people points for driving like to55ers.

Joking aside i personaly think its a standard evo 9 with 280 bhp.. the 300's/320/340 have different exhausts etc.. If the evo8 FQ400 is anything to go by, the so called evo 9 FQ400 (which btw i havent even heard was out yet) should have a much bigger exhaust, vortex spoiler, carbon fibre wing-mirrors, front splitter, the list goes on..This one doesnt.. humm!!

Theres no way thats a 400 mate, sorry!! its got loads of standard bits on it + theres no such model for the evo 9's out yet..(especially after the disaster of the last one) Ohh yehh + a knowledgable dealer i talk to off the MLR hasnt heard of any such model either.. The coppers are liars.. but we knew that already didnt we..? pml..

THAT is not a FQ400!!!,they were only availble in VIII MR version,that is a IX FQ300,wrong exhaust for one thing!!!,think they just stuck the FQ400 badge on to egg the Max power brigade!!,mind you the IX FQ300 isnt slow,they produce 310hp,IX FQ320 is around 335 and the IX FQ340 is 355...,blimey anyone who knows the Evo/subaru market knows the FQ400 was rebuilt VIII MR 320...The new IXs are renamed FQ300,FQ320 and FQ340 the same as the VIII MRs,in old terms that is a GSR as it comes from the mitsi factory,CCC UK only added the FQ to the VII,VIIIs to show its had the super dragger exhaust and HKS hard pipe kit,but when the MRs were released the GSR with its 9000rpm engine was producing 305hp the same as the original VIII FQ300 they decided to rename all the Evos that way...

Didn't see that one...
Got pulled by an unmarked ST 220 on Saturday night picking up my daughter in Newport - lights in the grill and by the rear view mirror. They were ok though, pointed out I was going a little quicker than I should have been, and let me get on with it
. These unmarked cars are difficult to spot in the dark.........

they wouldnt go all out to buy all the extras would they, they'll of wanted the basic package of the 400 if it is, which it probably would be seeing as its got all the badges they wouldnt just put them on.
i would have thought the fog light on the bumper would mean jap import so it might be a special release or something? not that it matters, sneaky buggers

The fog light is now incorporated in all bumpers on all Uk evos unlike other past evos.
I would of thought the standard bits and pieces are just that..Standard..As it comes with the car and is in essence what make sup the FQ400.. The exhaust would be a big must have for the 400 anyway aswel as all the lighter stronger bits ie, wheels etc
