not got mine sorthed yet. new pump hastn arrived. when you turn the ignition on mine i cant hear the pump prime, make i quiet buzz/whine for a half second . theres power going in but pump aint doing **** as ive cranked the engine with the fuel hose dissconected from the fuel filter (exit side) and nothing comes out. nowe i remember changing that fuel filter and there was tonnes of pressure in it.
ill just have to wait till my pump arrives. hopefully tomorrow

You need try having a look at your ECU, Plug B43 pin out numbers 2 and 13 these are the 2 pin outs on the second row from the right, check you have 10-14 volts when you turn on your ignition.

Mine does the same thing if the engine is hot. If its left to cool it will start. I could maybe help us both here as i come to ask a question about my car.
I had an old Audi which had my problem and finally narrowed it down to the fuel injectors. If one is faulty/Leaking it will flood the engine. If you have a seriously stuck injector it could be your problem too. Now for my question does anyone know where i can get standard replacement injectors for a 96 imported WRX?
Ps if the car has been running lately did you notice any "pinking" or higher than usual fuel use?
