Page 11 of the budget pdf, point 1.34 in the last bullet point says that single parents working 16 hours a week on the national minimum wage will be £315 per week better off, god I hope that is a typo or every 14 year old round here is going to 'forget' contraception for the foreseeable future.

lol thats interesting, must be £315 a month better off, bloke at work was saying his daughter who earns about 10.5k a year is getting £300+ a month in family benefits, thats a pretty good helping and not too much to encourage people to slob about

I do hope so as that equates to a pretty big salary in itself, ignoring the fact it's just an increase. You would have thought the budget may have been proof read once or twice though?

just curious....i didnt realise you could buy a house that cheap and still have internet access in those remote areas

That's a bit regressive. Discourages people from buying hoooge but efficient new engined cars but encourages them to continue to use their old dirty hooge new engined cars.

I hope its not even £315/month.

To be £315/month better off I need a £6400 pay rise.

That isnt going to happen.
