well ive been to see the car, was nice enough, hpi'd it...lets just say (for now) that i came away after the hpi check without the car ....hpi are looking into something to do with the car, i'm waiting for them to get back to me.
Bottom line is deals off until i find out more.

The DVLA wont have made a mistake. It isnt difficult for an importer to dishonestly register a 1995 car as a 1999 (pre April 2004), but Im not going to explain how. Its also possible, though highly unlikely, that the car was a late registration vehicle. The latest Ive seen was an early 1995 'Gravel Express' first registered in Japan in 1997.
