Stay at home, save up for a year or so. Get 15k stashed away, then you have 10k to use as your depost,so you wont have 100% mortgage, then keep the other 5k or so to pay solicitors fees etc.
Make sure you make proper calculations on what you can afford, as everyone else has mentioned its not just the mortgage you need to pay for, all our bills the same as our mortgage outgoings per month.
Then be prepared to do some work on the place. Unless you are buying a new build, there will be some cosmetic work to be done, from the first time you move in and have to clean the place, to painting over the ****ty peach walls they left you.
Really, you would have to factor in about 20k in savings so that you would have some money left over to decorate and furnish.

As others have said it depends on what its like at home.
I can **** as much as i like so that isn't an issue - and I only pay £50 a month rent.
Meals just arrive at tea time and clothes are washed (although I have to iron).
I love it
Am 23 atm, but I'm not planning on going anywhere fast. Paying off debts (run up when i wasnt earning much but still HAD to have a scoob), having fun and then I'll think about doing some deposit saving for when i am grown up
