Well said Jasey. I dont winge just for myself about wages if its better for me and improves then its better for future generations. What are we offering the school leavers of today, cheap foreign competition. A housing market they have no chance of getting on because there potential wages are been driven down by Uk employers using cheap foreign labour. Then we wonder why kids are going off the rails they see no future and no way of bettering themselves. I am 32 but i feel for the kids coming into there working lives i earned £270 a week nett as a 4th year apprentice 12 years ago.

I say this to UK employers if you cant afford to pay a decent fair wage to your UK workers then you should not be in buisness. Like has been said i bet there taking a nice wage and its probably down to the fact there paying foreigners crap wages.

Sad to say but this is market forces RR. No employers ever go into business for the benefit of their employees, they do it to make as much money as they can for themselves whilst sharing as little as possible with those that actually do the grafting. With this influx of cheap and reliable labour watch those fat cats get fatter while average Joe is left pondering his predicament.

As a person who has worked in quite a few countries with many nationalities I know that many people would like to live and work in the UK but quite a lot love there country and would rather have a european level income to provide decent housing and living conditions for themselves and there families in there own country. Well done to those companies that pay there foriegn workers the same as the British guys and shame on those who don't. If they are in the UK because of lack of labour force then they should be able to earn the same money and not as I suspect as cheap labour to increase profit and thus CO directors bonuses. As for those companies who send there jobs to India, you need to remember that it's our money so it should be our jobs plus half the time I can't understand them and they can't understand me (Aberdonian) which could potentially cause big problems if your dealing with an insurance company.
I'm quite happy for people to come to the UK for work and to live after all I earn my keep working for a US company in different contries.
Anyway if as predicted we are invaded from Eastern Europe we Brits won't have jobs and thus will not be able to employ Polish plumbers to do our jobs so they will go home cause there skint and we will all get our jobs back

It's down to a lack of a decent immigration policy not "Market forces". You set a national minimum wage to "help" the working classes. You then allow millions of people to enter the country who think that £5.00 an hour for 100 hours a week is like winning the lottery and wonder why more and more home grown "Talent" end up on the welfare !

It's all gonna go **** up if it's allowed to continue on it's present course !

It's not my point Luan. The current Policy will increase the current level of scum - it will do nothing to reduce it. In 10 years time - with double the scum to support all the Poles will **** of back to Poland and we'll be left with a bigger problem than we currently have.

You may be happy not doing anything to improve the indigenous populations prospects - I'm more worried about helping UK youngsters than polish families !

As I stated earlier - scrapping the welfare state would do wonders for productivity - Lose your job & die versus work harder and survive
