Even though at the time you were taking Auntie Beryl shopping.
3. EVO's take great delight in hunting you down and making mince meat of you (in between service schedules)
4. You'll promise your self that you wont touch the car and keep it standard yet three months later its spouting an exhaust the size of a Saturn Five booster along with various mods and yet you wonder why your minimum credit card payment has shot from 20 quid per month to over 200.
5. It still wont be fast enough.
6. And thats before the engine rebuild
7. If your over 30 your ordinairy mates think your a d**k going through a mid-life crisis.
8. You dont care because your new mates at the local club you've just joined share the same interests and persuade you to wear a Subaru jacket just like Petter Solberg
9. House maintanence takes a nosedive and that new kitchen/conservatory no longer seems that important (although a 42" plasma tv is fair cop)
10. your chance of promotion goes down the Gary Glitter due to the time spent on Scoobynet and checking those bargains in the for sale section.
If none of the above put you off then go for it. it is worth the pain
Feel free to add any other dowsides.

Your certain every little noise or smell from the engine is terminal and become ultra paranoid - until after a few months when you finally start to relax......and your big ends let go when bobbing to Tesco's
