If the insinuation is that there is a mapping issue, then I'm amazed that I haven't heard from you directly.(Not that I know who you are....)Here is my number; 07836 635001. Pls give me a call.

Whoops, that's me saying that. I'm certainly not insinuating, I was just musing over the failure of engines and the mention of washed bores in one and a melted piston in the other. I know nothing about the circs of what happened, what was done, amateur, professional, nuffink guv. Just musing. Sorry for any offence.

I have a GEMS in my bugeye STi running 360 bhp for the past year and a bit done by steve. Am booked in for a RR and 3 port boost controller next month. Only problem I have found is running rich, this could explain the bore washing. But as I say 15 months on GEMs using no oil so don't think bore washing happening. My thoughts are did you use the same garage for fuel mostly or where ever was convenient as it could be **** fuel or even the wrong grade of fuel in the tanks?? Have heard od diesel being put in petrol pumps by mistake so could 95 have been put in instead of 97/98.
