We used to be window cleaners and we got to a new job and the only way you could do it was off ropes so my company put us on an abseiling course and from there we left that company a joined a company ahtt just specialised in abseiling work.

Your the biggest bull****ter about then I own a company that specialises in abseil work. The contracts I go for are slightly more involved than cleaning the glass. Hence I know what you guys earn (Around the £80-£120 per day mark ) I also test and inspect the equipment that you hang off. (Or is that how you make the cash by forgetting about LOLER regs?) Can you tell me who you work for? I believe you might be inbreach of a couple of basic HSE and IRATA laws looking at those pics, which I've saved

Anyway, good luck looking for your film star wages. If you need a reality check, let me know. I've got a bit of work on. I need a numpty to abseil down my toilet, that curry last night has caused havoc with the drains

That pic will kill your reputation (Not the bull****er one) for ever! What a prized tw@t! How did you get authorisation to rig off of that? What test did you perform before hand to say it would hold? Do you have any thoughts for the people you might land on if that goes wrong???????

Total cu*t. You must be one of those Easten europeans trying to kill our game.

I just get fooked off when cowboys turn up, give it all the large ***** bit, doesn't bother with insurance (as I very much doubt this clown does), rigs off plastic (!) and undercut's company's that try to do it by the book.

I'm looking forward to the guys justification of his £300 day statement. That will get printed up and stuck on the wall

the left rope is tied to the lower handrail, the right is round a concrete upstand on some kind of AC vent, and the centre ( what looks like a 3rd safety tie) is round another concrete upstand. Upstands are usually 150-200mm above the finished roof level of cast concrete ( err...solid! ), and I doubt the handrail post would be going anywhere.

whats that got to do with the price of fish, Mr Rolleyes?

and as it happens, I know **** all about rope access, but in my last job I would regularly bank and signal cranes up to 250T, and deal with the appropriate paperwork. I didn't have the formal AP training, but 15yrs of waving my arms about to crane drivers made me competant in my book

so, where has he rigged off plastic?

And I wasn't aware LOLER dealt with ropes?

LOLER definately deals with ropes and all associated rigging equipment. At least it does for all my tree surgery climbing equipment.

FWIW I don't see a problem with the tie ins either and that is from 15+ years of climbing, absailing and playing on disussed rail bridges etc.

Chip, Imagine your misses walking under this uncordoned area and he drops a bucket. She wont be home that night for sure. But he will look good to the birds he was trying to impress in the office.

These ***** are killing our game. The reputation they bring along makes people scared of using us.

As Kev says, there might not be a problem with the handrail etc that he rigged off in the other pic, but I for one know that these old buildings do have major faults with handrails. Would they pass a 6kn test? Doubt it. Would a dynamic load on their safety line not slip accross the 75mm concrete build up and rip the plastic top off?

If one of these donuts hurts a member of your family, think about your post....
