How about sponsoring a child in far flung country? You will have the pleasure of seeing that child thrive and blossom because of your selfless act.
Sounds like you have material burn out.
If you are not lazy, spoiled or a brat then I can see that you will derive great pleasure and satisfaction from giving this precious gift in your name.

Happy Birthday BTW.

OMG, I take back my post.
What a bunch of sanctimonious ar$e$.
Sorry, I should not buy stuff with money I have earned through my hard work, I should not want my birthday to be about me, i should be entertained by anything and I should post details of all my charitable donations before asking what was intended as a light hearted question for someone lacking in ideas.

Hey papscooby............. YOU ASKED !
What I suggested was a genuine from the heart suggestion, nothing sanctamonious about it. Someone bought me a card depicting a goat I'd donated for Xmas. I was quite chuffed with the idea. In this materialistic world we live in. It's very easy to forget those worse off. I far preferred THAT gift to ,say a box of chocs that I wouldn't have enjoyed and wouldn't have been much good for me anyway.
Once again, I wish you a Happy Birthday, may it be a day to remember !

I want something entertaining, more than useful and I don't want it be an event or an xbox 360.

Sounds to me like you are stuck in material possession land....
Get out and enjoy something where all you can gain from it are memories.
