Cool wave
I wave to all scoobs, but to avoid looking/feeling like a **** with a big over-enthusiastic kiddy wave try the following.
When you see a scoob coming the other way place one hand at the 12 o'clock position on the steering wheel and simply raise your first and second fingers - those in the know will respect the gesture and you can keep your dignity intact when Mr or Mrs duffer passes by obliviously or simply thinking that your stretching your fingers during a long drive.
I agree that it's mostly classic owners who wave and was really surprised when I bought my scoob and found this trend - it's something that nearly all motorcyclists do - even the ones with the blue lights!
It is a bit of a pain during the summer though as I find I wave to scoobs when on the bike and wave at bikes when in the scoob - doh!

hes a damn site older than me, got a car that has more power than mine, plus a hall of alot more money than mine. Hes covered on his trade policy and i know he has the money to give me should he have had an accident. So i was reasonably happy lending it to him
as for lening the girlfriend, hey mate, nearly everythings for sale

I wave at all scoobs and any descent car that deserves respect. Got a thumbs up from a Bentley Continental the other day. I suppose he was too rich to be a tampon.
I do forget sometimes though and wave when I'm in the Primera. I do feel stupid then as no-one has waved back.

Only had my MY98 STi for a couple of weeks but have had plenty of waves already Must agree though, it's really only classics that they've been off - seen a few new age about too but most of them have blanked me...
