I have had my silver 95' Classic shape WRX for over four years... when I bought it, I made sure it came with Jap service history and that the car was mint...

In those days I bought it for £7900 because I knew the importer... otherwise he was selling these between £8500 - £9000.

The mileage even now is 40k and the engine is very clean... not been abused etc.

I have often wanted to sell it but don't know what to get after this... which area are you living in... I'm in London if you wanted to view...

A lot of imports used to be written off in japan then shipped to Ireland where they were fixed then imported to GB it was some rule about shipping damaged cars into the UK i think. It would be hard to trace though!

Hello mate,

Im toying with selling my darkblue 96 WRX. Its in lovely condition and is currently on 55k miles. Its got Tracker etc. Send me a PM if your interested and i can send you pics etc. Im looking for about 5k for it. Keep going to sell it but then drive it for a bit and cant bear to part with her . Im in SE London if you want to take it for a spin. You will get lots of people telling you to steer well clear of imports but to be honest other than the slightly higher insurance cost its been a great trouble free car. Only money ive spent on it to date is a service at the end of last year. (Oh and the fuel bill is a bit lively - Optimax and octane booster is pricey to say the least.).

Cheers and good luck
