The WRX, STi and Forester 2.5XT PPP all have the rear cat removed and replaced with a silencer as well as having the rear silencer changed for our new design, hence the "Stainless steel sports exhaust silencers" comment in our info.

Regards

I`ve just returned from having a PPP kit fitted to my MY06 WRX and I`m well pleased , Well done to Mike and all at Prodrive its worth every penny. In fact I think I`ll probably have to go in to casualty to have the grin removed from my face soon !. I drove all the way home with the stereo off listening to the throaty burble from the "Stainless steel sports exhaust silencer" aswell. The torque and drivability are awesome , much better than a standard STi in my experience so its a bargain at £1700. Thankyou very much Prodrive. .

Glad you like it as I feel exactly the same with my 06 STI with PPP £1700 well spent IMHO and I must admit the car feels that it's got much more than 316bhp and 330lbs

I have a MY06 Sti and have found a dealer who will do the PPP for £1585 inc. VAT and fitting.

I could save around £500 buying my own fuel pump, exhaust and remap but I'm confident I'll get more than £500 back going down the PPP route compared to modifying it myself when I sell the car.
as for higher value when you come to sell
thedealer says well it dont make much difference as it puts as many people of then it atracts the old saying gold dust when they are selling you it and stones when you are selling it

From the logs we got from the runs we were happy that the cars did the same thing on each dyno (except one where the boost and mass airlow achieved were slightly down on what happens on the road) and the figures achieved were over the numbers that we quote except for just one run which was very slightly less. The numbers did however vary somewhat, the best being more than 20bhp and 40lbft higher than we quote

Hope this helps

It did strike me that a lot of the figures on the new PPP's appear to be a little more "conservative" than the figures on PPP's for the 2002-2005 cars (particularly the quoted 0-60 times are included in that comment). If you don't mind my asking, is this a conscious decision to give numbers more akin to those that an average driver will achieve on an average day, and previously it was more a "best case" figure? (i.e. still realistic, but better than most people will achieve unless everything is spot on).

P.S. I don't really believe it's you driving them more gently at the test track just because you're a couple of years older now than with the previous generation PPP's you tested!

Nice to see you're still sticking to common sense and putting people right on this "STi7" etc stuff! High time people just used "MY02 STi" or similar!

Aside from the banter, and I know it's been said before, but it is worth noting that we should appreciate seeing Prodrive on a public forum like this, taking notice of what people say and posting honest and informative answers in the same vain as numerous respected specialists. There aren't many manufacturer backed companies that would bother.

Finally, for a bit of balance, I've used powerstation quite a bit myself for various things too, and am quite happy to recommend them as well.
