Thanks. Why don't you get some proper adult friends, then maybe you wouldn't need a "little canine companion"

Seriously though have nothing against dogs and if that floats your boat then why not?. My neighbour has a pretty tame rottie, but I still would want leave her unattended with a small child. Would you?

There's nothing little about my "canine companions" and (God forbid) if my dogs ever came close to you and your "chav in the making" when being walked by my wife alone and you threatened to "tear her throat out", there would be no more little Suresh chav's ever likely to come along.

Must make you feel such a man to threaten a women like that, dog or no dog

Or were you just "bigging it up" for the thread, eh?.

Many dogs could be quite safely left with kids. I was left with a number of dogs from an early age - funny though, I was never savaged.

But I would never leave mine with kids. A while back my wife had the dog on a lead, and the kids and next door neighbours were petting him. He stood up, and shook, and one of the kids 5 year old walked backwards and fell over. Ran home crying and told her mum the dog had "got her"

"Mum" appears ready to do battle with the savage dog two houses along to be confronted by 4 adults and abouy 5 kids, all in perfect safety. What actually happened was soon explained and "mum" said hello to the dog, and went home.

But what if there had been no adults there? I'd have had the police round looking to destroy my savage rottweiler.

So, no thanks, my dogs stay with me.

Dogs. Why do people bother owning dangerous dogs? I suppose it makes the "ego cripples" (as Germaine Greer once called them) feel big and important.

Thanks for insulting my family . I decided against reciprocating as I don't want to lower myself to your pathetic level. You and your dog are obviously well-suited intelligence-wise, so looks like you really have found a perfect little companion there.

Interesting. My "chav in the making" comment was based upon the hard man behavior of the childs father (you). And yet, surprisingly (or perhaps not) you neglect to offer any comment upon your "outburst" to a presumably defenceless woman who's only "crime" is to let her dog off the lead. Sorry, but that sort of behavior is not considered acceptable where I come from .

So its ok to verbally threaten a woman in real life, but not, clearly, to insult your family on a BBS....

And I'm the pathetic one...ROFLMA......

And as for unclebuck..well, I wouldn't have expected anything less , although as I don't own "dangerous dogs" I'll assume the little gimp's comment wasn't aimed at me

Staffs can kill kids. Staffs can kill women. However if a staff attacks a healthy full grown man he should be able to survive and give the staff a good kicking aswell. However if a rottie attacks a man it could very well kill him.

Put a staff against a rottie in a dog fight though and the staff would probably win though, hence theyre reputaion.

As for people who whine about dogs being off the lead in the park grow up. The dog is alot more liekly to bite you if you start making a commotion about it. If it was dangerous the owner wldnt let it loose, most dogs only want to sniff say hello and then go on about theyre business. Dogs are also very smart and can tell when a person is showing negative body language towards it at which point it might start barking.

Talking

Yet, more wise words (or opinionated bollox) from our new resident 'expert on everything'.

Tonight Matthew, I am going to be a 'canine behavioral analyst' lol

You as a 'grown man' have no doubt taken on and beaten dozens of Bull Terriers in your time and come out on top, therefore you can accurately gauge the probable outcome of such an encounter..

For the rest of us poor weaklings, we would rather not live in a society where such encounters were likely or even possible.

The local punks where I used to live had a 'Staffie' it's name was Molegrip. I wonder why??

Loyal as anything and kids have happily played with it and it hasn't so much as even attempted to mouth, let alone bite one when it's poor ears were being pulled!

YES BUT ITS YOUR DOG!!!
OF COURSE IT IS OK WITH YOUR KIDS. THEY ARE IN ITS PACK AND YOU BEING THE LEADER TREAT THE KIDS HIGHER THAN THE DOG AND THE DOG KNOWS IT. IT WOULDNT DARE ATTACK ITS OWN PACK!!

put it with a kid it doesnt know let it pull the dogs ears then the chances of it losing it are SO much greater with that type of dog.
