Wink Nice One Guys

yeah it was cool to meet up with some fellow enthusiasts, just building up a 32k 06 sti with ppp and more extras than one would care to mention. the rear spoiler is costing £860 alone. but the customer is always right!

ooo sounds nice - A friend of mine purchaced a Sti spoiler for his bugeye from subaru and that cost about the same - it does come ready painted and ready to bolt on so its not priced to bad TBH and its top quality not like my sti 6 wanna-be - cough - cough

Yeah its top quaility kit obviously with it coming from prodrive and its the same rear wing as fitted to the WRC car apparently and you are correct regarding them coming pre-painted. The same guy is putting on an 18" gold prodrive wheel/tyre combo for another £2k and Prodrive gearknob etc etc. The ppp takes it up to 320bhp and other tasty bits from the brochure. i'm still in love with my black 06 WRX, the 2.5 engine makes the car more mature somehow and very torquey.

Default watch out guys

ah well at least i managed to do 400 miles in my black beauty before something happened. whilst my WRX was carefully parked on the end of the pitch in prime retail pole position near the main road, someone who can only be described as an oxygen thief decided to run a key/screwdriver down the passenger side. it felt like it had been raped when i drove home. the irony is that the motive was prob jealousy and there is no way i could afford to buy and run the car. so thanks who ever you are for nearly reducing a 31 year old man to tears after a long day trying to make an honest buck for the family business.

The fella in the bodyshop who you introduced cant blame you for this one.

They want there hands running over.

Sooner you get the fence finished the better!

Default you said it chaps

i have given up trying to understand what motivates people to do that kind of stuff. believe me if what happened to my demo happened every week we would be happy believe it or not as for the last couple of years we are lucky if there is not thousands of pounds worth of damage to the nissans we have up the road. you are bang on martin and fence should be completed soon and we are having the most advanced camera set up i have ever seen installed tomorrow which i can monitor using my pda from home or in the car etc so at the huge expense and the risk of making the place look like strangeways it looks like these measures are a necessity in these days of social meltdown. thanks for popping down again yesterday martin, you guys can come down for a drink and a chat anytime. car will need respray, so i hope to have it in the bodyshop oven this week. i nearly left the scooby at work but my brother quite rightly pointed out that he would kick my skinny *** if i stopped using the car as i'm dammed if i'm being dictated to what i can drive by *******.

Default sounds like a plan MYKP

Maybe we should adopt sharia law from the Taliban and cut the buggers hands off! My big worry regarding the new camera system was that you would only end up with a video on the hard drive of some hoodie smackhead going about their business, but this system has some very interesting features, i could go into detail but i'd have to kill you. i'll spare you guys from my political/social commentary but even when plod gets them they are either kids sent on a nice safari or seasoned lags who are quite ok about meeting their friends and chilling watching digital t.v. on the old plasma screen paid for by us taxpayers. ok ok that's my little rant over now, and i know i sound a bit like a daily mail journalist but i'm pretty liberal really!

ah, my old stomping ground from my yoof. I have spent many an hour walking past L&G on my way to the Blue Pig, then back again, stopping at the trough chippy before finding my way back home down Ashton Old Road. Them were the days.

Good luck with the new Venture, it's great to know you survived the MG disaster intact.

Default black beauty mint again!

Back in luurrve with the black WRX again as it's fresh out of the spray oven and i know i'm blowing our own trumpet (but not in the biblical sense!) but one could never spot the repair to the ****** inflicted scratch. The paint had to be mixed three times apparently as black is always so unforgiving. Got to register the WR blue 06my STI this week and whilst it will not be anyone's take home demo it will be interesting comparing it against my WRX which has done 600 miles now and is getting faster, looser and freer revving every day. From memory the ride on the STI is very firm and the track orientated tyres are very noisy with a tendancy to 'tramline' slightly. That said i can also remember the acceleration being simply distressing coupled with masses of grip. If i could have one car i would have to go for the WRX SL with the PPP. The ride is supple enough for the boring commuter runs as i found myself automatically swerving to avoid pot holes etc. And on a personal level the performance mainly boosted with the extra torque would be enough for me when i wanted to stretch it's legs. I'll see if my previous, mainly positive memories of the STI still bear true. Don't get me wrong they are the ultimate AWD and i'm buzzing with the anticipation. Remember you guys are welcome anytime and i will see about running this STI over to the Unicorn next week as i like to run demo's in nice and tidily. Take care fellow scoobsters.

Default Yeah count me in

Thanks Chris i was planning to put in an appearance next week and our Master Technician is making noises about coming and i know he wants to ask as many question's to you guys as i'm sure you might ask him in return, such as new development's or any other 'intresting bulletin's'. Have just taken in a 53 plate tatally standard black WRX SL and after driving it, although it drives well i missed the engines extra 500cc of my demo. Look forward to seeing you chaps @ the Unicorn next week. Don't worry Chris the place has been like a building site inside and out a little this week so it's a bit embarrassing as i like things to be clean and tidy but once it's done we can start doing the job property from ultra secure premises. Think we are having a grand launch day/evening so spread the word and i'll keep everyone posted. of course SMACS members will be most welcome and i'll make sure we have the 06my STI demo registered etc.
