we digress, but is blackjaxx part of a clifford alarm, or can it be wired into an alrm, or is it best to remove old alrm and get the whole clifford alarm with blackjax ?

Glad the car turned up Paul, obviously not the most intelligent of theives to run out of fuel.
Time to buy a key safe. The Audi dealership I work at had a car pinched just before I started there, now all the keys are kept in safes and if any of the managers spots keys lying around the person responsible gets a written warning, a bit harsh but unfortunately thats what this country is getting like. We have even got to remove keys from cars in the workshop at lunch time and in the evening before we go home, even if the car is immobilised minus engine or gearbox etc.
Paul pm me if you need a conact for the key safe company and I will try and find out at work tomorrow, it might even lower your insurance premium.

Well guys and gals thanks for all your comments.... Well the car appears totaly unmolested which is more than I could have prayed for!
Just some points.. I do have a blackjax but it is in Valet mode because the last guy (Before I took it to Paul) broke the button mechanism. It has been booked in to be replaced when it comes back from Paul. My Tracker was one month out of subscription.... been paying it for 3 years.... and they would do nothing to help! Yup shouldn't have let it run out only myself to blame but after being a customer for 3 years would have hoped for a little bit more understanding and customer service.
Would the keys in a safe have worked... maybe... or would they have give someone a good kick in to get them? Its only a car.... ok one I have spent a fortune on the car but dont want anyone getting damaged because of it....

seems a bit strange that somebody would contemplate nicking a car , which is known to have a Tracker fitted as standard, unless they were aware that the tracker subscription had just lapsed!!!

Blackjaxx isnt the only unit out there either. Mine has a similar system. Having the keys will get you about a minute away, but it has to be said that mine would have been in valet mode too under these circs
