As said earlier, a good compromise may be to see if one of her friends can come over to keep her company, whilst you're a sober phonecall away. Its the 2nd child, its not as if its unchartered terriotry for her and since she's fine with being on her own during your work hours, theres no reason for you staying on for a bit! yet its OK for her to go out only a few days ago!
